SHO Lovin' It
I have a clutch kit on order. Decided to hold off on a ceramic TOB since the kit came with one.
Teflon impregnated, alumina ceramic coated aluminum TOB release shaft bushing outright purchase
Is the above the same thing as saying the clutch fork bushings? I am guessing yes but I don't want to assume anything. I believe this is what GMORRELL is referring to when he mentions bushings that Sho Nut sells of his?
I know I should also change:
(will edit with links as I find the parts)
Axle Seals: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tmk-3622s/applications/make/ford/model/taurus/submodel/sho
Rear Main Seal: Timken 3909 does NOT fit!!!
Input Shaft Seal http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tmk-3638/applications/year/1995/model/taurus/submodel/sho
Shift Shaft Seal http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tmk-710274/overview/year/1995/make/ford/model/taurus
I know RKTMN has a clevis pin and delrin bushing kit that is ready to go together. I found a Rod Shifter Clevis Repair Kit: http://http://www.shosource.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=61_5_29&products_id=442
The repair kit from shosource would save me some money, and I have the an angle grinder as well as drill/bits.
anything I am missing that would be good to do while tranny is down? Where is a good place and what would be a good brand to get for the seals? In my research I seen Ford is better, Felpro tend to leak, and one was going to try the Timken but didn't have any feedback about it.
