It was great meeting you guys at the SHO Convention last week! Good to see you guys being active in the Gen 4 forums and continuing the tradition of SHO(and EcoBoost) ownership to hopefully keep these events going for years to come...

(I know we've got a few guys with Gen 4s on here who are stalwarts, just wanted to give props to the new d00ds)

Yep, really enjoyed talking with these guys. We had met Mike at the St. Louis BBQ, but it was our first opportunity to meet Bob in person.

We had a very good turnout of ecoboost owners at this year's convention. We had two Gen 5 ('13 model) and seven Gen 4 ('10-'12 models) and well as Bob representing the other ecoboost vehicles (albeit in his Pontiac). Not sure what the final count of actual SHOs at the convention was but I'd say that the ecoboost cars made up about 15+% of them.

Popping my National SHO Convention cherry was quite a memorable experience for me as well.

I enjoyed not only meeting new members, but also getting reacquainted with those whom I've met up with at previous events / outings.

I am still a lil embarrassed over my behavior at the St. Louis BBQ #3, so much so that it resonated with me for months afterwards, and I made it a point to "behave" at the Nat'l Convention.

Anyhow, I've always respected the heritage of the SHO and can recall wanting one when I was younger and growing up.

I am elated (and very proud) to own a Gen4 model, and as you all know, will always do my best to promote our line of cars and anything associated with them.

Whether those promotions happen to be here, or in other communities / formats / events/ etc.

I am a grateful SHO owner, and that level of thanks expands with each and every SHO owner my paths meet up with over the years.

Hopefully I can convince even more Eco owners to join us for future events.....

I'm trying, it's difficult, but my posts both here (and elsewhere) seem to be having a profound effect on those still sitting on the proverbial fence.

It's a work in progress, but I'm a persistent mf'er, so you can bet those participation percentages oughta be higher for future events.

You're a good guy. People make mistakes. Then other people (like us) forget about them. :)

IMO, the Gen 4 SHO is about as far from the original lineage of the car as Ford could've gotten, but I think it's awesome that they brought the name back. I think it's even more awesome that guys like you aren't afraid to spend money on these cars, and beat the snot out of them as they were intended to be.

I hope to run into you at some events in the future, Mike.

unless you really **** up royally, then a thread named "never forget" gets made.

Everyone here has been a tool at one time or another. I hadn't heard about the STL BBQ so it can't be that bad. Whatever the case, you and your car's appearance was an asset this year. So hang your hat on that!

Hey, i'm glad that both Bob & mike attended!! It was the same years ago with the Forum folks, it wasn't until '02 until Beth pushed it and we had "new" Forum folks attend, rather than just us "old" SHO folks!!

Bob & Mike are both great folks!! Enjoyed meeting & talking to both!! Hope to see them at Conventions in the future. And Bob needs to bring the Flex, especially in the thin Denver air!
