Sold!!!
Edit! Front new Konis are installed and setscrews are all fixed up. Price still at $3,000. Anyone?

Hi, everyone! I have 1989 autox prepped SHO. It is built by shomesomesho, and I purchased it about two years ago. It is a highly modified SHO that can be also driven as a DD. I have been driving it as my DD for two years, but it also can be a dedicated autox/track car.

Here is the list of mods done to the car by Fred (shomesomesho). I basically copy pasted his description, so all the mods were done about 20k miles ago.

Engine-

*3.2L SHO motor (about 92k) with 3.0 head, new 3.2L head gaskets
*Rod bearings
*Stage 1 SHO Bros cams (newer version, not the old SHO shop hand ground ones)
*80 mm Lincoln MAF
*Intake/exhuast valve stem seals
*CPS, CMP, rear & front main seals
*Ported/polished intake
*Big Bore Butterflies (40mm)
*Gasket-matched heads/intake
*Magnaflow Y-pipe w/ cats
*Dynomax Cat-back
*New Thermostat
*New radiator and upper/lower radiator hoses with coolant flushed/replaced
*New 155 LPH Holley electric fuel pump
*New lighter weight gen 2 starter
*New pair Bosch O2 sensors
*ASP underdrive pulleys
*A/C deleted
*K&N washable air filter
*Solid, welded front/rear motor mounts
*CCV opened to atmosphere (with filter)
*SPEC stage 3 clutch
*Fidanza 9 lb. lightened flywheel
*SHO Nut Ceramic TOB
*Battery relocated to trunk
*Lightweight 15 lbs. Odyssey racing battery
*twEECer tuned (more aggressive timing/fuel, raised idle to 1,000 rpm, redline to 8,500 rpm, etc.); there are 4 settings on this thing so you can think of it as a custom 4-position chip: 1) stock/smog, 2)mild, 3) wild, and 4) Armaggedon.

MTX 5-speed Transmission-

*Quaife automatic torque biasing differential
*Rebuilt with new fiber lined blocking rings, new synchros, seals
*Tranny drain plug
*Rod shifter conversion
*New CV axles

Suspension/steering-

*Ford remanufactured power steering pump
*Ford remanufactured non-VAPS steering rack
*Redline Synthetic power steering fluid
*3/16" shimmed steering rack
*TPR bushings all around
*Upgraded '94-95 front knuckles with new wheel bearings
*SHO Bros/Ingalls adjustable rear control arms
*SHO Nut rear H-brace
*Rear strut tower brace
*Upgraded 1990+ rear hubs and bearings
*New inner & outer tie rod ends
*Ground control adjustable-height coilovers w/ Eibach springs (430 lb/in front, 350 lb/in rear)
*Koni strut inserts
*Steel re-inforced front strut mounts (eliminates dangerous flex from stock strut mounts)
*No front or rear sway bars (they are more of a hindrance with this setup)
*Full length subframe connectors
*Aluminum subframe bushings
*Welded strut rod inserts to subframe (eliminates annoying "clunk" while turning)
*Autocross/street alignment

Brakes -

*Dual piston Cobra/PBR front calipers
*Axxis Ultimate front brake pads
*Stainless steel brake lines all around
*New brake booster
*Modified stock rear bias plugs(flow increased to rear brakes but not enough that rear brakes lock up before front brakes)
*13" Mustang Cobra front rotors

Interior -

*Corbeau FX Pro lightweight racing seats
*Simpson adjustable lap belt
*Moderate weight reduction with removal of headliner, carpet, center console, rear seats, rear tray
*Momo Competition 13.8" steering wheel with fully functional horn button (goes honk-honk when you press it)
*Kenwood stereo/CD with 4 speaker system
*Rear stock seats
*A/C is gone, but the heater, climate control, power door locks/power windows all work.

Exterior -

*Repainted/clear-coated by previous owner
*SHO Plus spoiler, fiberglass bulge hood, and metal 24v DOHC side badges
*Police grille
*Yamaha trunk badge
*30% tint on rear and side windows
*Factory sunroof replaced with Lexan
*Car alarm w/ remote

Wheels/rubber -

*17x7 Kazera KZ-V silver spokes with polished lip (18 lbs.)
*Continental ExtremeContact UHP A/S 225-45/17 tires (20lbs.)

I am selling the car because I do not have time to take care of it. It needs a little bit of attention. Front passenger koni is leaking. I bought two new front KONI inserts for it, but I haven't had time to work on it (I have the receipt as well). It is also leaking oil from the rear cam seal (CPS one). It does not leak crazy, but it is probably good idea to change it. In addition, one of the setscrew is stuck in collar. I tried to get it out, but a screw extractor broke! I got a new collar and four new setscrews. The setscrew will need to be drilled out to adjust the height. There is slight exhaust leak around y-pipe. Other than those, the car runs and drives just fine. I am also looking for something that is practical for me. I bought the car for autox/DD, but I do not have time to do autox at the moment (I am a student).

So... let's talk about price now. I want $3,000 OBO for it. It needs some TLC. That is why the price is low for what you get. I will surely miss the car. This car puts smile on me when I drive, but it needs somebody who can drive like it is meant to be and who can spend some time with it.

Sorry man, Hate to tell you but it is going to be a extremely tough sell. The car is purpose built, Purpose built cars just don't sell. My Auto-X car...which was FAR more prepared, had zero leaks, needed no maintenance and had MANY more modifications sold for a LOT less then your asking price. Hopefully you get what you want for it, but it is a tough market.

Seriously? Nobody wants this nice looking, highly modified 89?

Come on people! I was the previous owner of this car (bought it from shomesomesho), and it has been a very reliable car for the past four years.

No major issues with this car, and it is FAST!!! What surprised me the most was how responsive it is compared to a stock SHO. Sure the interior is not pretty, but this car was built for performance, and perform it does! You won't find more bang for the buck than this car.
