Read the codes!!!! If no codes...have you done a tune up? Did this all of a sudden start or progressively get worse?

All of a sudden.......and I couldn't blow through the old rusty filter.....

Some of us haven't dropped the coin on a obd-1 scanner.....and the nearest one at vatozone a half hour away isn't helping me any......

Fuel filter didn't fix it.....as there is no fuel pressure to clear the air out of the line. Looks like a good run for the Treefiddy loch ness monster, but ill chop it in half before I do a pump. Driving a focus until I go pick up the atx from its winter home.

Figured you checked it. I am sure there is a relay, not sure where though. I guess the simplest thing to do would be to see if you can hear the pump prime when you turn the key on. if you can then I would try testing fuel pressure and see what you get.

I know most of my suggestions are pretty obvious, but past experience has shown me that sometimes its easy to overlook something simple. The fuel pump circuit breaker got me a free 1991 sho plus a few years ago :)

Checkfor voltage at the inertia switch. That would tell you if voltage is getting to the pump. As far as changing the pump, if you dont want to drop the tank than you can always cut an access door under the back seat. That is what a number of people (me included) have done.

Have you checked the codes yet?

Nope.......might try to do that after I get home from work. Step 1 will be applying voltage to the pink/black wire under the pass side of the rear seat to see if it even works....

How did you determine there is no pressure to "clear the line"? Can you hear the pump at all when you turn the key? If the pump deff. is not running, you need to determine if its getting power....simple as that. If it is getting power, you need a pump....
Just cut a hole in the floor and swap pumps if you need to. Probably take an hour and its pretty simple.

By attempting to reprime it following fuel filter change..... hooked up a 12v current to the pink with black strip wire, and it didn't come on at all.....so that means fuel pump?

Since the atx goes in for recall **** Tuesday, the 92 is getting cut in half, set on fire, or maybe tannerite'd.....:naughty:
