Yes, and I am not sure what cams these even are Ron. I was testing comp on another SHO the other day, wanted to make sure my tester worked, so I used the track car for a quick test. Cold engine, it was over 190 after two hits.

I thought that hp and torque ALWAYS cross at 5252 rpm on a dyno graph due to the way HP is calculated? I double checked... HP ALWAYS crosses tq at 5252rpm
If you don't believe me google dyno graph and just start checking any engine from any car every dynoed and look at the graph.
someone is fishy with that dyno graph. I would love to think about a SHO making that kind of power though.
I watched a 3.2 w/ stage 2 cams dyno 255. Just sayin
that dyno program automatically resizes the two individual lines to make them fit better on the page, these numbers are not so extreme that they cant be possible. I bet that car screams.

Update: more info about the engine. Now the numbers make a lot more sense.
80mm MAF/cone filter
EH intake/BBB's
ported heads
cams, unknown specs
custom pistons with raised comp (unknown CR)
catless custom exhaust
LPM
I went in expecting 220 or so whp, based on what I thought had been done to the engine. After the first run, I heard the operator say '202'. Well, thats okay I guess. Then I saw the screen, and saw that the 202 was my TQ reading. My HP reading was....
255! Color me suprised! This car feels plenty healthy, but I attributed much of that to the diet it had been on. Apparently it also has some legs! I did two more runs, my highest numbers were after a cool down, when I dyno'd what you see below:

257.5hp/206.3tq
I was very pleased!
Here is a closeup from another run, in which I took the engine all the way to 7700rpm. I was told by the previous owner that the head porting he did gained 25+hp, and that the car now pulled all the way to redline. I believe the last part for sure.

If that was the dyno sheet listed below, you can see how much more TQ he was making, and how it was making more HP in the lower rpms. That 3.2 is making 15 to 20 more hp/tq than me all the way up until 6250rpm. After that, I match the HP/TQ for a 1000rpm, then pull slightly away as the revs go higher. Jives perfectly, now that we know there are cams in my car. A nice surprise to me, as I did not know (or had forgotten). Just sayin.
Tim, I remember you telling me when you were first going to pick the car up that it had a High Comp 3.2, Maybe just you just forgot the specs when you bought and sold 36 other SHO's in between getting this one.
:sun:
Judging by that number I would say you have some kind of cams with you HC pistons. If the cams were stock with HC pistons I would expect the number to be higher. I think 190 is about where the sho sits with stock pistons and stock cams. Cams would reduce the cranking comp due to the increased overlap while HC pistons would help raise it back up. Ishodu said he was at 210-215 with his 11.5:1 pistons and a set of custom ground cams. The specs are on the 2nd page of his dyno thread. This is why Im kicking myself for not putting in HC pistons when I rebuilt my cammed 3.2.
Of course this is all just my speculation and I have been wrong maybe once before.
That car is cammed for sure....Nice car you got there.
I bet that car screams.
Damn Tim, you got yourself a winner. That makes me want to build an NA motor.
I still have those cams![]()

It does have headers on it now, and a big hood.It is if you are referring the chart I posted. That is the dyno from when I owned the car. It may be beyond that now.
I really wanna know the kind of head work that was done to this thing make the wonderful power and noise it does!![]()
Awesome running car you got there!
Thank you sir!
Two questions:
1) what did you run off the nitrous?
2) what is the highest HP NA someone has made (other than the lake dragster, or Ernies, which has suspect numbers)
