I would imagine Paul's shop took on water, as he's right on it! I think his house is right near the water in E-City too :frown: My old home in Greenville NC surely was underwater after looking at pictures of the city! Hope everything is ok Paul, hoping to hear from you soon.

Still rocking out here guys. A big hype for nothing at the beach area. Not a whole lot happened here. We ended up losing power after the storm for 5 hours but no damage here. I see NC was hit hard so I can only imagine how some you guys are down there. Hope all the rest of you guys are ok.

Just getting power back on here! I have to many DAMN TREES!!!!! Feels like I've been hit by a truck, from cleaning up! Other than the 15 pales of debris that took me all night to burn & the other 10 pales? that still has to be picked up & burnt, things are fine. The trees didn't fall on the house or the cars :thankyou: Hope that everybody turned out ok.

Thanks for checking in. Glad to hear everyone made it through safe and sound and that any damage was minor. Has anyone heard anything from Paul?

Hey what's going on fellow SHO members. My name is Rodney, I am new to this forum and to owning a SHO. I see there is someone that also lives in the 757. I bought this car with the intentions of just having a work car. But after driving it (event though it's an automatic), I decided that I would like to learn more about it. Thus the reason I joined this forum. I live in Buckroe Beach in Hampton, VA. I would like it if I could meet up with a someone who shares the same passion of owning one of these automobiles. I have a 94 Auto with 132K on the clock. And would like to find someone who can work on this thing. Or maybe recommend me to someone credible. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the group Rodney. The Tidewater SHO Club serves the SHO community in Southern-Central-Tidewater VA, as well as NC and SC(as well as other friends in surrounding states). We have several folks in your area that can offer information on local servicing. We also have a member, Paul(88GTA92SHO), who specializies in SHO work. His shop is located in Hertford,NC, just south of Elizabeth City, NC.

Again, welcome to the group. We try to have meets about every 3-4 mos and are currently in the planning stages for a get-together(in Nov) centered around a Vintage Racing event at VIR. Keep tabs on the TSHOC - Tidewater SHO Club link on the SHOforum home page. We also have a TSHOC-Facebook page available, check it out. :salute:

Glad to hear your power is back on Jamie. Paul, if you can, touch base and let us know how you're doing. :salute:

What's new Rodney? I'm one of the 757 guys, along with LuigiSHO and Andi (SHO mama). I'm in the Va Beach area, near Town Center. Shoot any questions/concerns you may have my way. I work on the SHOs on the side also, when time allows, and have had several in the past. I have a fair share of knowledge when it comes to working on them. Welcome aboard the forum and to the "SHO addiction".

Thanks Guru,. That's good. As of now, I'm in need of brake rotors on the front as well as having a lower speedo cable installed(speedometer doesn't work). I understand you do work on the side. And I'm willing to get whatever I can. I just can't see myself taking my car to one of these "One shop fits all" places. I asked the guy at tread quarters for a quote on a tune-up for my car. And he didn't even mention anything about valve adjustments water pump or nothing. And when I told him. He swore up and down that it was not part of the service. I could only shake my head. Needless to say, I left. I just had them change my oil.

So this is the reason I have not had any service done to my car yet. I'm just waiting to find someone worthy of turning wrenches on it. lol. If I had the know-how, I would be on it. But I don't. But I know I have come to the right place.

Thanks for the info DJ. If or once I can get this car up to speed. I wouldn't mind attending one of the meetings. This is my first domestic vehicle. And it's been a good car so far, even though it needs a little love. But I see plenty of potential. So lets see how it goes.
