I think it's funny you point out that your detail guy isn't you...and here I thought there was another young guy with a mohawk who loved SHO's as much as me. FYI I get mistaken for the guy who plays puck on glee all the time (I had the mohawk before the show came out) Anyhow nice looking car!

Everyone knows green is the best color.:)

Nice lookin car man, I love green SHO's; people don't give them the credit they deserve. A nice detail like that or a fresh paint job and they look damn nice.

I hear a lot of good things about them... I would personally stay away from any used ones, because they are one of those tools you need to put pressure on first and pre load those bearings so you don't damage them... I wouldn't trust someone else's tools ya know? I see a lot of 1 time used on Ebay, and it makes me think they screwed em up somehow.. just a thought. :)

What compounds are you using? I was looking at Meguiars for some 'mild' stuff. Possibly Adam's or I was almost thinking of venturing towards Zymol... I remember when I had my black BMW, all those guys loved that stuff. I notice a lot of Vette, and MB owners using it on their black cars as well.

I also enjoyed "Junkmans" videos, that were on Youtube.... it was nice to see him put that diamond cut stuff on his vette's hood and lay on it to show you how it won't burn your paint. :)

And yea, the last few times I clicked this thread..... that green is growing on me. Always said a "good green" is actually pretty damn good looking.

PS... To the OP.... take a sharpie or something to that I-Pass.... I couldn't stand how it sticks out in my car... I abruptly painted mine black to hide it.. lol Its tucked next to the radar detector and gps now.

I didn't use anything to "cut" the paint, because it didn't need it. My car also needs paint (dents, scratches, trunk started peeling last year, and the hood and partial roof paint is checked), so I didn't go ape shit crazy on it.

I used stuff that I ordered from Don Mallinson's site, DC Car Care:

Glaze--http://www.dccarcare.com/glaze.html

Wax--http://www.dccarcare.com/collinite.html#915

Started off, of course, with claying the entire car. I used the glaze a couple of times to get the smoothness and depth I figured was acceptable, then used the Collinite. That was last September. I haven't done it this year, but it still beads and looks good after a wash.

Sure it was my car? Mine doesn't look anywhere near as good as this one. And mine hasn't been taken care of.

But I agree on the green looking good when it's clean and shiny.
