What year do you have?

First off, some basics to explain. The upper row of theses boxes is throttle position in volts. As the digits increase the numbers represent how far you have pressed the throttle therefore adjusting TV (or line pressure) accordingly. The lower boxes represent an actual tv pressure amount in psi; these are the rows you adjust. Now...

There are 2 basic changes you can start with which is setting some TV pressure values and engine torque levels. I would start by adding 5 psi to every digit in the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shifting events under the 'Functions' tab. There is not a whole lot of need to adjust the 3-4 shift TV pressure.

Under the 'Tables' tab adjust your engine torque parameter accordingly. Read carefully to what I write. You can cause serious damage if you interpret this wrong. Set the top 2 rows from 2000 to 6000 rpm to a value of 400. You are changing values in a total of 8 boxes. Do not touch the other boxes. There is no need.

From there, reset the PCM and give the car a drive. You will be surprised just what a little bit will do. Soon you will want one of my solid front motor mounts for the ATX, if interested. These are safe values and are not extreme. They are just to speed the actual shift time up along with increasing constant line pressures. Happy tuning.

Yes. just burn an a9l mustang tune onto one of the other positions on the tweecer. All you have to do is turn on the key and it will reset the pcm.

It just clears the PCM by running a calibration file that is not compatible. It's like switching to a blank tune which in turn clears all PCM memory. It works everytime like a charm.

How is the trans tuning coming along?

I just started yesterday and I am still trying to get my 1-2 shift where I want it. I started with adding 5psi and then I tried 6 and went back down to 3 now because it was shifting too hard. The 2-3 shift is perfect to me at 5psi.

I do have a stupid question though, when you say add 5 psi to each box and
the psi starts at -10 I am supposed to make that -5 correct?

Yes. Correct. Those low values are for low TP input and require very little line pressure to perform the shift. The last boxes are dedicated to full throttle and will require more line pressure to get it where you want.
If I have to reset the PCM after every change I make with the tweecer and I use the a9l method do I still need to do the Idle reset procedure.

Yes, by rule of thumb. But I do not always unless I'm done tuning then I do the idle reset the last time so when I drive it the car understands the correct load and corrects for a/c clutch lockup and headlights etc...
