If it's not fast in the 1/4 mile, It's garbage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what did it cost me to get my car to 13.1@107?

400 For the Nitrous Kit, 12 Dollars for the Copper Plugs and the 20 Dollar Entrance fee.

I'm DOING IT WRONG.

-Sam

Now you're putting words in my mouth......

Don't fall intpo the Newbie "I bought my SHO after driving the Cavalier I got from my Dad" mentality that pervades this Forum.

Wayyyy back when, SHOs were bought by performance car guys that owned musclecars. They filled a need we had at the time. They were not viewed as God's Gift To The Enthusiast. They were decently quick 4-door sedans that performed their function as required. My three previous cars were a (new) '83 GT 5.0, a (new) '85 TPI Vette, and a (new) '86 Z28TPI. The SHO was NOT the quickest of the bunch. For me, I bought one because I wanted to buy a used Ferrari 348 in a year or two and wanted to save the $$$, otherwise a 535i was at the top of my list.

The SHO "is what it is". Accept it and move on.

You wnna dump $$$ into one to prove something?? Go for it! Sorry if I don't share the same enthusiasm anymore.

Believe me, I've owned a Variety of performance cars, From a 300 HP Legacy, To a RWD 4 door sedan that made 350 RWHP, WRX, etc. I am Fully aware of what a SHO is capable compared to newer cars. My racing experience tells me the exact opposite of what your saying the SHO is and is not capable of. And remember, my EXPERIENCE...not me just spouting off shit I've read on a fan boy forum just to argue.

I understand you've been around a while, have owned this, done that, raced this...etc etc. I respect that, but it doesn't mean I won't think your opinion is wrong, based off of my experience.

Good day.

Wow... Can we just agree that SHO's have been fun? We've all been here this time for that fact? Some of us here just like to play with and modify our toys. We've all surprised the **** out of someone with the car. I enjoy the feeling I get when I drive my SHO, however, it has spoiled driving any type of NA SHO for me.

TBH, my SHO has taken my interest more this year than my Subaru. Although I don't agree that Subaru cars in general are crap. I've been pretty happy with how some of the stuff is executed on the car over the SHO. The SHO is old and many of the newer cars are more capable with less work (if any).... But there's nothing wrong with liking older cars :thumb:.

BTW, the $600 AccessPort is the exepensive option too. $170 will get you a Tactrix 2.0 and RomRaider is free. You can even have someone flash your car for free for the same results.

Ron, go to bed, you are grumpier than usual.

Nobody with a brain gets into SHO's because they are the be all end all in performance. But the same can be said for ANY street-legal car sold, they ALL have to make compromises. No need to get all fussy about it. It's almost summer, can't we all just get along.

eh, i'm content with my 16 year old family hauler that can attack most freeway on-ramps at 3 times the posted speed limit, can put a hurtin on that cocky ******* in his V6 mustang with half of auto zone's cosmetic aisle stuck to it, and can fit the family in relative comfort while blasting across the country with the cruise set at 80mph sippin fuel at a respectable 26 miles per gallon. to this day, there's not much else out there that can make the same claims for the price.

A good tuner that knows these programs and know how they work would know.

I turn off the learning, not the adaptation. There is still bp calibration, temp calibration and fuel calibration. The computer runs off the instructions, and fine tunes itself in real time. But when I turn off the learning functions, it doesn't remember, it simply fine tunes for the conditions.

The pipes for the ATX turbo car are done at the plumber and are at the plater's place getting the shiny (expensive) stuff put on. I kept the dual tips too.The outlet pipe comes out of the turbo, goes thru the muffler, then splits and feeds two chrome tips like the factory system.

the rubber hose was hose clamped over the plastic one... in multiple spots at the same time which was not only "custom" and wrong but also very cheap. Which is the same route he is going by not installing a PROPER FPR.

Ha, haha, hahahahahahahaha!!

Are you serious? How dare we call out what is clearly a horrendously jacked up band-aid, one that could have caused serious injury to a car and people, lest a vendor get his feeling hurt. Very troll-like indeed. Cry me a river. Better yet, bleed me a river.

If that car came from st louis SHO, SHOnut, SHOsource, Performance Plus, Courtneys, Nicks, and about a dozen other past or present SHO garages, it would have been called out just the same. Doing that to your own car = stupid. Doing that to a customer's car = negligent manslaughter.

Here's the thing though. This is what the fourth time this has been brought up. Bash much? Its obviously a mistake but this isn't about righting a wrong, its about bashing. For one reason or another. You're either the type sitting in your moms basement in your underwear who gets his jollies off bashing on forums. Or you have a thing against doug for one reason or another. Because he's always trying to make a sale, he is a business owner after asl. Or because he's a "dick". Your skin isn't thick enough to handle someone who Won't kiss your ass all three time. maybe your mother breast fed you too long. Bottom line is this, even companies as large as ford have major issues get through quality control. Its still unnaceptable and should be adressed but all of you still own fords. Doug has been working on shos longer than probably anyone here. He's a stand up honest guy and a callable asset top the sho community. Drive him away from your little forum if you wish.
