Almost 12 sec at 108.3 mph, thx to Livernois

Went to the track last night with stage 4 Livernois, no other mods but HR springs. Cool night at around 50 F, but very humid, in fact we had drops of rain most of the night and at the end it started to rain for real. so traction was again an issue due to slippery pavement and my tires that start to be older now (25000 miles on them and about 30 runs in 3 times at the drags).
I was hoping.. again lol!... to reach the 12 sec...

Kinda happy with the results. I really see a big difference. I was running stage 4 since the first ride and since I wanted the 12's so bad, I never tried the stage 3 on the track lol!
Car ran very well on stage 4 and shifting was very aggressive, but still didn't feel like too aggressive to damage the car (maybe in a few years, but that is the future...).
So, I guess I stretch my air loose with my wife for this moment, next time will be when I come back from México (in-laws), after May 15th. My wife and two daughters will be staying there until May 28th... Watch out for more tracks end of May!
So, all-in, pretty satisfied and with better tires and better track conditions, for sure, 12's is reachable... I think the 108.31 mph indicates that.

Just get the 60ft down where it should be and you're all set. What rpm are you launching at? I have my best 60fts around 1800 and I'm routinely 1.80-1.82. All depends on the track though

Darrell is right.. My best run which was the 13.063 had a very low 1.9 60'ft.

My issue is in the last 1/8 where my weight & Aero loss keeps my top speeds under 105.

Three things about launch. #1. you need to try different RPM's. 1,800 is a good place to start. The higher you can launch (RPM's) without waste gate blowing due to traction issue variance between front and rear wheels, will likely get you the best times. But every track is different.

#2. What are your tire pressures? vary them to get the best traction. I run LESS PSI in front by about 2 lbs to enhance the FWD design aspect of our platform.

#3. Launch from as far back in the BOX as you can. The extra inches help lower your 60 ft.

To add to EBB...at the light just roll forward enough to barely turn on the lower staging light. If you're shooting for lowest ET that's the way to do it. Racing...different story, you want to be as deep into staging as possible to get the best reaction time.

Congrats! As Darrell said, get that 60' down and you'll get in the 12's. These cars take some finesse to leave just right.

Eco : I tried different rpm launches and too found that 1800 was the best... However, yesterday, the tires were spinning. I even tried no brake/torque and tires were spinning less but I had 2.12. I also tried with t/c on and had 2.17, so I guess your suggestion of lowering front tires pressure would have probably been best solution for yesterday.
As far as staging more in the back, I didn't think about that... What I did, just for fun, was to stage, but on the back wheels... I mean get there, one light, 2 lights, oups too far but continued until one light and 2 lights (in front by 10 feet)! Was just to tease the guy at the end that gives the slips that was teasing me about not being able to get it under 2 seconds... I got 1.93 hahaha! But then the car started to lose it left and right due to light rain... But don't worry, that was just one time cheating to laugh with the guy to see his face, but I don't cheat...
Thanks for your suggestions, I will need to go back I guess... but that was already part of the plans lol!

I wish I could weight the car before track, but no balance where I go... I presume it should be 4,358 pounds (weight announced from Ford with a full tank, with spare tire, but no driver), and I had half tank of fuel, removed the spare, kept the baby's seat in the back (that is just to contribute to the sleeper look! and it weights just about 10 lbs) and I weight about 200lbs, so I would guess 4,460lbs should be close... Do you think it is a good assumption?

So Bob, I'm taking it, that it is best not to "deep" stage to improve the 60 ft. time. Just tickle the stage light?

For sure!! Deep stage for reaction time but it hurts your 60ft. If you stage shallow "tickle the staging light" you basically hit the start line with momentum thus improving your 60ft and your overall ET

I do understand starting line tactics, although the last time I was at a starting line was longer ago then I care to mention although I am happy to say it was with an AA/FC!

this is a 0-60+ video on closed road, on my way back home, back to stage 3. I did a 1mph rolling start because it had rained a bit and brake/torque launch was not gripping as usual... I timed it many times using online stopwatch and I average 4.5 sec to 60mph (96kph)... stock it was about 0.3 sec slower...

I weighted the other day on the side of the highway at 4532 lbs. That was with 40% of the fuel tank full, full windshield tank, with the spare tire in and me weighting 198 lbs. So, at the track, I remove the spare tire, the safety net and the bottom part of the trunk (the floor) : those three items by themselves weight an impressive 47 lbs! So, that night at the track, with the baby seat in I weighted approx. 4495 lbs...

Brick hasn't been weighted, but Tech Addiction weighed his and it was almost exactly 5K with him in it. We also have a big front end, not to mention big butts! Thus, my best speed has been just under 106. But, they are increasing, so making more power.

I always remove my spare & anything else that is heavy, and of course am running lighter/smaller tires to respond better, and change axle ratio to 3.40. This just about max's out 4th gear at the strip.
