Way ahead of you.

First off I need a Tweecer Expert and 2nd I need a SHO expert. I got some one who is good for both.

I already have things setup with a dyno, which reminds me...

Who? I'd like to know who so I can get a full dyno tune on my car. PM me.

I found out who. Didn't think you'd PM me.

We have been working our exhaust guy with a few projects so it set him back and just trying to cram everything in there.

Did get all of the oil fittings setup at least.

However, for the product at hand, we've passed the point of excessive wait time with too many misleading posts.

You are not going to get said product, and whoever is, will wait. Optimism on their part as regards a timeline does not constitute misleading behavior.

Jealous.

I'm pretty sure some have already moved on ;) I think I've seen two home made turbo kits implemented in this same time frame. I can understand wanting to make a decent kit, but piping is the only real hurdle. Fueling and tuning has been figured out for some time.

Due to the fact it has pretty much been a year, Optimism wouldn't be what I would describe this (fool me once...). I can understand trying to keep interest directed towards the business, but when do you throw in the towel? Doug's "expensive" setup is starting to look more appealing; it's not fictitious.

I am curious to see who is waiting to actually buy this setup when they realize it's not going to be $2,000 or less.

With that said, I AM interested in another product that was announced far before it was ready and I'm starting to think it is going the same route as this.

There's no hate, but there are no specs, no price, no pictures and no deadline....

"Kit's" are for mindless people anyway . Anyone truly interested in a FI car will build their own.

What brings you to this thread if you have no interest in buying the kit? Go troll somewhere else.

As far as everyone else who complains that the kit isn't ready yet, keep in mind nobody is obligated to do anything for you, and the very mere fact SS offered to do this is awesome. If you do not like it.. go build your own damn kit. ******** about it in this thread defeats the purpose of the thread; which apparently needs to be reiterated- "GAUGING INTEREST". It's not in the group buy stage yet.. it has a while to go.

I subscribed to this thread so that when there is an update that actually pertains to the kit, I will know about it. So everyone else who keeps posting whiny, ******, useless crap; STFU!

K thx.

At this point, I bet it's more of a LOST INTEREST thread. Half of the people interested will likely realize it is out of their price range when a price actually drops... Which is probably why they haven't given a price estimate yet.

Just show us actual progress ;)

We are not able to give a price estimate yet due to not having everything in place yet. We don't want to give a price and then have to bump it up later.

You will see pictures before you get a price.

Like I said earlier this has been changing a lot (though not so much now) and we don't want to post pictures have to answer 20 questions and then change it the next day and answer 20 questions. It will work out much better if we post it when it is finished.

This is a 2nd job for all of us, so it cuts down on what time we can spend on it. Even for our fabricator this is side work. We also had him fabricate a batch of y-pies and catbacks which set him back a little so we can keep up on demand for products.

However, you and I both know you have a target price range you're shooting for.

What's changed so much that it's taken so long? Having done this type of stuff on my spare time, without pay, I just can't see a reason why there wouldn't be something even worth showing yet.

You know, if you're going to call someone an idiot, it helps to do it correctly. :)

Wow. I would say the jump from kit to idiot is a big one. It is great that you were able to build your your own, I commend you for that. While I have a decent amount of automotive knowledge and a basic understanding of what is involved in a turbo setup I am sure that there would be details that I would miss if I built my own since it would be my first one. If I were to build one I would want someone with experience in turbo set ups to assist. Isn't this basically what the kit would be doing...having some people with more experience make sure that the details are covered? While I am a big advocate of doing it myself, I see nothing wrong with weighing the cost/convenience option.
