I have ben trying to get a bunch of people i know to get out there. The cheerleaders seem to help seal the deal though.

Yeah it does! Stopped by a small show last night before University and was handing out flyers and as soon as "Vikings Cheerleaders" was said they were like "Well shit I'm in for that" lol....

Well Tyler that sucks hope that those nuts don't strip out on you!

Well here is a revised route to the convention that wold allow us to avoid Chicago and it's traffic all together and is only 728 miles.

Driving directions to Dearborn, MI
728 mi – about 12 hours 28 mins
Via I-39 S, I-355 S - remove all
Suggested routes




Champlin, MN

1. Head northwest on Richardson Ave N toward Colburn St N 0.1 mi
2. Turn right at Dayton Rd 0.1 mi
3. Turn left at US-169 N 1.1 mi
4. Turn right onto the US-10 E/MN-47 S ramp 0.1 mi
5. Merge onto MN-47 S/US-10 S
Continue to follow US-10 S 11.6 mi
6. Take the I-35 S exit toward US-10/Minneapolis/St Paul 0.7 mi
7. Merge onto I-35W S/US-10 S 1.3 mi
8. Take exit 28B for US-10 E toward St Paul 0.3 mi

If you avoid Chicago, you avoid the tollway too.

as soon as you hit the IL boarder you hit tolls. its next to impossible to avoid and its only like $10 - $12 to go through the whole state. not sure how far out of the way it is but might be worth looking into.

Well it only adds 28 miles to the whole trip so it's no that big of a detour, just goes further south to avoid Chicago. There are 4 Partial Toll Roads so not sure how many there are going straight through to Chicago but it should be better to take the detour. I've never been to Chicago and would like to see it someday, but with a 12 hour drive I do not think we need another 1-2 hours of stop and go traffic to see it from the highway...

we are going through at night, there for there shouldnt be any traffic but who knows??? im flexible plus i have an I-pass so it doesnt affect me!
