I pulled out the old ones and the plugs are different. The MTX has 3 wires and the ATX has 4. Is there any magic I can use to retrofit these plug end to work? Do I need the extra wire?

Answer to my question if anybody else was wondering:
The difference is the heater circuit.

The three wire systems use the body of the sensor for ground and have the heater power switched to it when required.

The 4-wire sensors have both a hot and a return line for the heater. The hot wire is usually always hot in RUN and the low side of the heater is switched by the PCM.

They are not interchangeble.

I just cleaned up the old ones and reinstalled. Off the the dealership to try and trade the atx for mtx ...... without the bill.

If ever you want new ones , try rockauto.com , I think they run for 30$ each.

Even with the shipping to canada its alot cheaper. We are getting screwed over here.
