also if you have the jbl sound sytem in your car, the normal wiring harness for your vehicle won't work. It requires a special one, which you can get from crutchfield. It tells you exactly how to wire it up. Very fast and very simple. I did it in 10 min. for my 93.

According to the people in this thread, that normal harness is tucked somewhere in the dash.

the harness for the actual speakers is plugged into your stock radio.....the plug that you use to bypass your stock amplifier is in your trunk actually hooked up to the amplifier....

Either I don't understand or you're incorrect.

I just installed an aftermarket radio in my car, and bypassed the stock amplifier. If you still need help I can walk you through it over the phone. Feel free to give me a call at 419-283-1962, if I do not answer leave me a voicemail with your # and I will return your call.

Trying to upload pictures, but keep getting message exceeding limits by 13 kb. I already made them smaller. Any ideas?

I had that same issue recently...any chance you could host them at a place like photobucket and just provide a link there?

If you look at this diagram there are 2 sets of speaker wires in our cars. One set goes from the amp to the speakers. The other set goes between the deck and the speakers. The latter are not used in the SHO, but have been installed anyways. The standard plug utilizes the the wires that run from the deck to the speakers (labeled "not used" in diagram). If you use the standard plug, make sure to use a head unit that has an internal amp and unplug the stock amp because it is no longer used.

Match the colors and connect the wires of the standard ford harness to the aftermarket head unit's harness. Unplug these 2 connectors (circled in the picture) and plug them into the other end of the standard ford harness. Plug in antenna connector. Unplug the connectors on the factory amp. Mount head unit. Enjoy music. It's that easy.

Thanks, a picture is worth a thousand words (and a wiring diagram!)
