I just called Ellingson Car Museum and the cost is $5 and they have 90 vehicles. They said it usually takes about an hour to go through.

I'll be there @2pm.

dudes my dad is thinkin about buyin a older tdi jetta.....i think there sweet..

A freind of mine has an 02 golf tdi. ive never driven it but he gave me a ride and they are deffinately not the fastest but he has never gotten worse than 44mpg and a best of 48mpg.

They do make programers for some them if he needs an extra couple horses.

AND parts are expensive! he better know what hes getting into here...

ive heard of them going 500k+ which is cool but in the rust belt im not so sure. it would still be cool to have one.

1 last thing to concider, my GF cobalt auto will get 38-40 mpg on the highway. ive even heard of manual cobalts getting 44mpg. a modern jetta will get in the 50's now. concidering what jetta parts cost compared to GM parts you would have to keep that car for 300k or more to break even on the upfront investment.

Now that thats been said, go for it! and find me one too!:sun:

thats exactly what i would get if I were looking for a tdi. fairly low miles for a diesel. 5 speed is the only way to go! and until 02 was my favorite body style. plus the 1.9L was a little snappier than the 1.8L

yes, see you there.
