Just wondering what others are paying for their SHO. I have a 24 month lease with 0 down at $732 per month. That is with the Ford X plan and $1000 rebate because I am changing from my Pontiac to Ford. The 36 month price is $678.

I don't own a new SHO but would never pay $700 a month for any car.
Says the guy with a Viper in his sig.
I kid, I kid, you probably aren't/didn't pay that much.
My payment is 1100.00
I financed like 39K with 4K down (The minimum)
I prefer to use their money at 0%instead of mine.

G-Damn! My rent is 1100. I can't imagine adding a car payment the same size to my bill list.![]()
i'm not an expert but the 0 down doesnt help that price i dont think. from what i understand if you put zero down it jacks up the monthly price alot, the more you pay down the less the monthly price. maybe everyone knows this and i'm just late to find out[/QUOTE
I think he meant 0% interest, not $0.00 down.
Leasing is a great idea if you don't go over their mileage limits and you can make sense of the buy back at the end of the term. You pay more, of course, but you get the 2 or 3 year test drive. If the car has disappointed you, you don't have to worry about the buy back. Nice and clean. That has to be worth something.
Beefcake,
I understand your logic.. however with a lease you can't do any Mod's to it. Also in 2010, I don't think anyone is safe to know what their commute might be like in 3 yrs as you very well may be with a new employer
However the biggest thing is the money factor and the RESIDUAL along with the insurance you have to buy for it.
Ford and other manufactures have lowered the residual value so much on these cars that IMHO it makes no sense for me to lease a vehicle
Let me be clear.
The 1100 dollar payment is for purchase not a lease.
I have found in 2010 leases for the most part make no fiscal sense any more for us.
So yes I have a 36 month payment of 1100.00. My guess is the car s/b worth somewhere in the mid 20's in 3 years.
We shall see
