Looks like this weather is gonna stay with us, so "The Garage Queen" will stay under cover until probably the Convention.

Come on Ron! Bring her! If its not snowing & the roads are dry that is. SHO's are made to be either worked on or driven! HAHA

Not my SHO. The cold weather is looking to stay, which means the snow stays, as well as residual salt.

My view is that I lose value for every mile I put on the car. This is not a driver, it's a museum piece.

my intent is to bring TWO! as long as the weather cooperates!

You're bringing my Christmas Present! Thanks Bill... I haven't heard secondaries in a long time. I have however gotten used to having a thing called torque.

See y'all tomorrow... gonna head up a bit early and do some shopping in Birchrun. We're meeting at Bronner's around 3:30-4:00 correct?

Back in Michigan ... again.
I'll be there around 2:30, back to my car around 3:30. If 3:30 makes for a good meeting time, I'm all for that. Just be there no later than 4:30 :thumb:

There's downtown Frankenmuth for shopping (I'll be at the Cheese Haus!), the outlet mall out along I-75 (Michigan's largest mall), and for those antique lovers, there's a neat antique dealer off highway 83 where you turn left to head north for Bronner's. It's there at the traffic light--you'll see the building off to the right.

For those not familiar with Bronner's, here's a google earth screenshot. I've marked the entrances and our meeting spot in red:

Best bet is to take the north entrance, then take the first opening to the left. That should dump you right into the north lot.

Now for the weather

Forecast for Frankenmuth is snow showers. There's no mention of accumulation, but there wasn't much accumulation last Tuesday when I went from Rochester Hills to Brighton on a solid sheet of ice. If the weather looks bad, don't worry about canceling! Yes, I'd like to see everyone here, but Bavarian Inn understands bad weather and so do I. The only thing I ask is that you give me a shout if the weather keeps you away, my cell is 810-931-5587.

Expect the all-you-can-eat chicken dinner to be about $20 per person. It's served homestyle, meaning that the chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and all the trimmings are brought out in bowls and passed around. And ALL of it is all-you-can eat, so if you have a cranberry fetish, feel free to gorge yourself on cranberries. If you don't want the chicken dinner, Bavarian Inn does have a wide-ranging menu with other options that are less expensive.

Otherwise, hopefully I'll see all of you tomorrow!

See you tomorrow!

Haven't gotten around to taking the Azenis 615s off the LGT yet, so it looks like the truck. Advantage is it doesn't matter WHAT the weather might be!!

How're the roads lookin on that side of the state? Down here, they ain't pretty, and my tires are only tires by definition, inasmuch they're round, black and hold air. I'm not diggin the thought of turning what should've been a 2 1/2 hour drive into a 6 hour, white knuckle, full-clenched torture session....

In Dearborn it's not that bad at all. We got maybe an 1" of snow over night (can still see the grass peaking through), but it's clear now. I don't know how it is north of here though. I checked the weather for Frankenmuth last night and they said 30% chance of light snow showers and highs in the low 30's. It didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary.

I just grabbed Flint's forecast from wunderground:
Periods of light snow through 3 PM...then a chance of light snow. Accumulations around an inch. Otherwise cloudy. Highs 30 to 34. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Looking at weather radar now-once you get out of the west mi snowbelt (Battle Creek-ish or so) you should be clear all the way to Frankenmuth :thumb:

I'm leaving in about 10 minutes, should be in the area around 11:30.

Ugly driving back tonight."

We got a call from Tim(SuperHO) that it was icy there & there was an accident so we all took a route around. we got back safe as I hope everyone else did also! We just took it slow as the conditions required. It was a bit slippery in spots & foggy & some blowing light snow.
-It was a Great turnout! 18 people, 8 SHO's, a Truck & a Tbird & a Impala. There were Winding Road Tshirts & Taurus SHO hats given out by Santa Chris(HunterVF) & LOTS of the best Fried Chicken Made consumed!
Thanx to all!
--& my thoughts&prayers as well as others there go out to Matt Homer & family as he battles for his life this Christmas season.
