I'll be there around 2:30, back to my car around 3:30. If 3:30 makes for a good meeting time, I'm all for that. Just be there no later than 4:30
There's downtown Frankenmuth for shopping (I'll be at the Cheese Haus!), the outlet mall out along I-75 (Michigan's largest mall), and for those antique lovers, there's a neat antique dealer off highway 83 where you turn left to head north for Bronner's. It's there at the traffic light--you'll see the building off to the right.
For those not familiar with Bronner's, here's a google earth screenshot. I've marked the entrances and our meeting spot in red:
Best bet is to take the north entrance, then take the first opening to the left. That should dump you right into the north lot.
Now for the weather
Forecast for Frankenmuth is snow showers. There's no mention of accumulation, but there wasn't much accumulation last Tuesday when I went from Rochester Hills to Brighton on a solid sheet of ice.
If the weather looks bad, don't worry about canceling! Yes, I'd like to see everyone here, but Bavarian Inn understands bad weather and so do I. The only thing I ask is that you give me a shout if the weather keeps you away, my cell is 810-931-5587.
Expect the all-you-can-eat chicken dinner to be about $20 per person. It's served homestyle, meaning that the chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and all the trimmings are brought out in bowls and passed around. And ALL of it is all-you-can eat, so if you have a cranberry fetish, feel free to gorge yourself on cranberries. If you don't want the chicken dinner, Bavarian Inn does have a wide-ranging menu with other options that are less expensive.
Otherwise, hopefully I'll see all of you tomorrow!
