I can vouch that the meth kits work, especially with forced induction vehicles. Two of my Lightnings have had it and so does my Vortech-ed F-150. I'm in the middle of putting it on my S/C Gen 3 as well cause that sucker MAKES a lot of heat, and with no intercooler, it needs something. Like everyone has said, there are many types out there. I've had the longest of my kits for nearly 5 years with no ill effects. I haven't looked into it for the 2010 as of yet, but I'm sure Beefcake will have it real soon. :)

Snow Performance company that Terry referred to. Judging by the boost gauge on their home page, their stuff will let you run like 45 psi of boost. :)

Excellent product and a stand up company. I've been running Snow Performance Alky kits since ~2002 on several different boosted applications. Mark is a great guy too - always answered my questions. Main reason I run their stuff is protection from detonation. The extra HP is just bonus points.

Yeah - Alky injection works.

E1v2, You say it works but your Super Charged SHO dynoed 182hp?? I dont get it.

Just sounds funny spraying smurf **** into your intake.. Whats with the distilled water?

Ill take your words for it, as you guys have done it.. Why not just spray NOS?

Water will cool the charge and slow down combustion. Distilled water has all the minerals removed to aid in keeping the nozzle(s) free of build-up.

Spraying a brand name down the motor won't help with intake charge temps. One can acquire distilled water for roughly $.50 a gallon at any grocery store and washer fluid can be had just about anywhere for relatively cheap.

Massive FAIL in the flex pipe - the inside was turned inside out making my exhaust 1 1/4" diameter - DOH!
I fixed it. And it was 191 hp @ 2000 rpms, thank you very much:woo-hoo:

Oh - I don't have a Snow performance unit on my 96 SHO, running it without a cooler at this time, which I could probably use. I DO have it on my 94 Lightning, which you put the gas tank into when I was still on crutches after my crash in '05.
Thank you again.:)
Nitrous IS better, but much more involved - you have to add fuel too.
I don't use the 'smurf ****' due to quality control issues, I use a 60% Methanol/40% water mix - but the 'average' smurf **** is said to be 50/50.

NOS is more expensive, more dangerous to use/store/transport because of it being under pressure. I can't imagine methanol would be of any great harm to the engine if used slightly out of proportion, or mildly out of tune. Try doing that with NOS.

Not to mention NOS isn't street legal in most places, can be dangerous in a collision, costs more to use, and the chance of motor damage is greater. You can use methanol anytime, anywhere. I have mine set to come on at a certain time, and go off when the boost goes down. I can cut it on/off via a flick of a switch, watch it spray by my light on the dash, and set it to come on/off at different levels of boost. So when is there going to be a group buy for the 2010 SHO?? :swing:

Just run E85 if you want the advantage of the alcohol cooling the fuel charge.

It is listed as not compatible because it is not a flex fuel vehicle. It can run E85 as long as the proper tuning is used to insure the proper AF ratio.

Meth injection will require a tune as well.

I'm running Alcohol Injection Systems kit on my supercharged Mustang GT. It was cheaper than the Snow kit and mounts in the trunk, not underhood. However its not adjustable, it progressively adds the mixture once 3 psi is measured.

I wash told to run a mix of washer fluid and Heet gas treatment. It didn't make a big differance on my car but I'm only running a stock pulley.
