Got my news today that the car was built yesterday but is also in the TBD slot. But if the ramp 79 deal is over, it could just be a few weeks away. :swing:

I've got my VIN number and know that next week is my build week. My question is, how do you guys follow where your car is at any given moment?
Your dealer can give you updates. I don't know of an online source for consumer use. Dealers have a "vehicle visibility" option that updates the status of your car.

The stop shipment is def over. My local dealer just started getting shipments of new Taurii in yesterday, inlcuding a loaded to the gills Black 402A SHO. My salesman was going to let me drive it, but his sales manager had the keys and was being a big D cause he wouldn't give them up for some reason (possibly the $47k sticker price
).
So instead he let me drive a Black 2010 Flex SEL with EB. It was pretty nice and quick, but I couldn't throttle it too much since it only had 12 miles to E of fuel in it and I didn't want to have to push that 4800lb monster back to the dealership. The Flex made me feel very small inside it because it is so spacious. I felt like I could wear an Abe Lincoln Top hot without a problem LOL.
But you guys should start seeing SHO'***** the lots pretty quickly now

My brother in law works at the Assembly plant I have asked him if they are having any QC problems with the car and he said no. I'll have to ask him again and let him know what I have been reading to see if he knows what is going on. He did tell me that the 8 week delivery that the dealer gave me is probably going to be longer. He said that they have been swamped with orders and the SHO is selling like crazy. I ordered my SHO two weeks ago got my Vin # Friday. My dealer is telling me that Ford is trying to make this car a hard to get. He told me the only way the dealers are getting the SHO is by customer order only. He also said they are only making 5 thousand of them. I don't know if what he said is true but that is what I was told my dealer. I'll double check with him and see what he says.
Bronco I ordered the same color and fully loaded also SHO that you have. Love the color. What color did you get for the interior? I got the two tone. I also ordered it with the bigger wheels.

You are right, mine was built yesterday. I wonder how long it will take to go from Chicago to Omaha!?
I bought one last week, triple black, loaded up with 402A, adaptive cruise, seat massage, as it rolled off the delivery truck. First and only one to drive it (except for the PDI of course). I may have found one of the quality issues. A horrible noise from the right side of the engine at low RPM accel and decel. Dealer is baffled and is bringing a factory engineer next week.
Please post what the problem is. I ordered mine two weeks ago. She got a vin# Friday and she is suppose to start being built Oct 5th. I am interested to hear what the enginerr says about yours.

There was not Stop order or hold issue, they are diving up the cars and where they go before "retail" orders went out.
Ordering it in July and not having it yet is nothing.... I ordered mine 2/13/09 and just got it.

Ordered mine on 8/28. Dealer told me the only way I was going to get one was to order it due to volume. Dealer allocation cars weren't going to be built until the end of the year at the earliest. So far I have a VIN and I know my build date is October 5th. I'm hoping I'll get the car within a week or so of it being built but I'm thinking end of October.

Wow, I ordered exactly the same as you except I stuck with the 19" wheels. I think I'm going to transfer the Cobra R's from my Mark VIII, so I decided not to get the 20's. I too got the black/umber interior. I have not seen the exterior color in person. I just wanted to be a little different than those running with the candy red metalic paint.

Tonight, stopped by my local Ford dealer & they had 3 SHO's!
Black one was ordered & sold. Had a green one & a Blue/Grey one available to test drive. Wish I had time tonight as a salesman had the keys in hand but we were on our to way to RoyalOak to meet my mom for dinner. I'll go back Mon!

My thought process was the same. All I have seen out is the candy red metalic. Wanted to be a little different. I haven't seen that color in person yet but I am sure I will like it.
