-well thought i had completed my wanting of an MTX to take place of the 3 previous ATXs i've owned before. I have been saving up some money and looking at all ads. finally found one i liked and took delivery the 1st week of May......then 4 weeks ago, it all came to a sceeching halt....:snap: while i was at work one day, my wife called me and told me the carpet in our bed room was soaking wet. knew it couldnt be the water heater, its on the other end of the house. called a plumber out. seems that where the water line comes in to the bedroom just above the floor, BUT! below the vanity, the line was cracked and he said it had prolly been that way for about a year, and it took this long to soak everything and reach out into the floor from under the bath area. anyway, we have to replace some of the subfloor, carpet and re-do the plumbing in there and it ran us about $5200 dollars to fix. so, the extra money i had saved now gone for the SHO, i had to borrow some to get it fixed. well, with the wife not working summers, and ends hard to meet during that time, the only Right thing to do, is sell the SHO and try to pay back the borrowed money. Sorry for my sob story, but if you knew how much i wanted an MTX, you would understand how having to sell this is hard. the car is '95 MTX, white with a mocha leather interior. almost 118,000 miles. as you can see from the photos, the car is very sharp and very clean. the photos show it how it is. i have cleaned every nook and cranny on the exterior of the car. i'm now starting to do the inside and underhood as i can. the car has sunroof, keyless, cd, dual power, dual airbags. the leather is in great shape, considering the age. it was well cared for and seems to have been garaged alot. i have the carfax and it is clean, or i can post the VIN if needed and you can see for yourself. it runs good, drives good, and yes, shifts well. tires have about 50% tread life left. has new plugs, wires, air fuel filter, front brakes and rear brake pads. while cleaning, i have been fixing minor things that need doing....such as, the park brake pedal pad was missing...replaced it...sunroof switch didnt work....replaced it.....in the process of fixing the sunroof console...yes the switch is broken out(not by me!!!..lol), but im working on it. windshield washer jug cap missing,.... put a NOS one on it. things like that. and until someone takes it off my hands, i will continue to do so. but i would like to move it to payback some on the bathroom work. i'm not trying to make a big profit, just get my money back. you are welcome to come look at the car, you won't be dissapointed, or if u need a photo of something, please let me know, and as soon as i can, i will get it for you. you can call me on my cell at 256-223-9809 with any questions, but please be aware of the time you call, as i do work, sleep and have a family at home. the price is $3,600

I wanted and almost bought this car; I mean came REAL close---damn near took out a personal loan for the extra $ needed to do it, but it just wasn't the right time as I needed the cash for other things. If it's around in Feb. at tax time, I'll buy it, but I know it'll be long gone by then. GLWS. If something comes up in the meantime and I can spare some cash, I'll give you a shout.

If it had black interior, I'd be on a plane tomorrow to pick it up! Good luck with the sale.

I was visiting my inlaws (best on the planet) last week near Atlanta and saw this ad, too. Dang near started drooling on the keyboard. My favorite color, year, tranny, and options. 117k miles; good for another fifteen years. Good luck with the sale. That's a really nice car.

-car has spent its time(according 2 the Carfax) in NJ, Pa, and Fla. a/c works like a dream. only thing keeping it from A-1 status is the antenna mast plastic strip is broken and wont go all the way up or down, and the broke sun roof console switch,(FIXED!!!) both which i am addressing the longer it sits here. 118k. rust is not an issue. if it was, I wouldnt have bought it. normal rust on brackets, exhaust, but have had no problem with any nuts/bolts i've dealt with......

-just to show there is NO rust issues with this car, my obsessive cleaning includes removing all the mldg and cladding to clean it and the car. you can see there is no rust spots showing. as i said, other than the exposed brackets, and exhaust, it looks just like a car from anywhere else with out rust.

Too bad is it not an automatic. I'm looking for a SHO and this would fit the bill if I knew how to drive stick.

-took a couple of new pics. came across a set of white slicers with caps, and thought they'd look pretty good on it, so put a set of 225/60/16 Michelin symmetry tires on it with them. overhead console is fixed and installed. got the antenna off putting the new mast in it. few other odds and ends complete to be sure its perfect for someone 2 buy......:salute:

Thats a good looking white 95 MTX! I think those white slicers do that car some justice :) Good luck with the sale :thumb: Well worth the money, too. I know if I had the the cash I would own that car.

-just a bump for more work updates. guess i'll prolly keep her as there has been no interest and i'm starting to do some major work to her. so to my kin folk up north, you can delete this add if ya want....but heres what i been doing........

-ok, as you can see from this shot, the door glass run has got a tear in the rubber somewhere, allowing some corrosion to start and thats what gives us these unsightly goose bumps on the mldg.....

-here i have the complete door tore apart with trim panel, door handle, speaker and water shield removed......
000 0002 1

-heres the outside with belt mldg, and glass removed.....
000 0001 1

-just a shot of the bottom of the door to show how clean and rust free she is....hmmmm...little fuzzy.....
000 0003 1

-a pic of the old glass run after removal.....

....and a pic of 1 of the last NOS ones going in its place......

this will be done to all 4 doors as they all have the bumps....and i have rounded up all NOS parts to repair it with, so i'll post more as i progress.....:salute:
