Sweet . Bristol is probably one of the best tracks to get exposure as a pace car because of so many cautions. Bristol has always been an action packed race and this one s no difference, so far.

good going!

I don't think it was a SHO but who knows, they had a lot of SHO commercials at the begining

Yea, I had pics of that SHO at Woodward too, but my camera got stolen that day :frown::mad:. The decals on that SHO looked really sweet too because they were slightly lighter red than the paint so it was like a ghost decal. anybody have a side shot of it?

Edit: I just found a nice shot of the side decal on Autoblog (farely large image): http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/woodward-2009-ford-booth-tour/#4

Apparently that decal is reflective too. check out this night shot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mlavander/3832895688/

I think the point is why start from scratch when people here already know people involved with it.

Bristol is a shell of what it used to be. 2 years ago it was my favorite track, bar none. Now, with the progressive banking, it's just another track. Now the track I'd most like to go to is Darlington...

for sure a bit more tame (boring)

about the only thing interesting in cup to watch anymore are the road courses. the mile and a half stuff really gets boring, the COT cars are follow the leader on a flat track like Indy or NHIS, and the plate tracks are the biggest joke in motorsports.

Anyone notice that the new SHO pace car didn't look huge compared to the race cars. Taller for sure from a front angle, but overhead, it looked positively small compared to the race cars.

Just a thought! :)

that's because the COT is an overgrown cinderblock on wheels :)

when the C6 Z06 is used, it looks like an RC car in front of the COT. and the C6Z06 physically, is a very large car. big footprint

The Las Vegas track is much better now with the resetting of the banks. But most of the 1.5 milers are DVR'd and then watched at 2-3x speed for wrecks or anything interesting. The road courses are always fun to watch, too bad they only do 2 a year. Indy used to be a blast before the COT.

My favorite when I was tiny was Cale Yarborough. The I moved onto Dale Sr. It took me a couple years to get behind Jr. But I'm really starting to like Marcos Ambrose. I think he's quickly becoming a favorite...
