Well, I changed the oil today (M1 5W-30) and took the SHO to town to get parts for the Chevy Cavi.
I came outside to the parking lot and saw a small, fresh puddle under my car. I crawled under it (well, I got my head under there anyway) and see some oil on the rear SFB and bolt. I start the car and it has a very slow drip that hits the SFB and part of the exhaust causing it to smoke. It doesn't seem to be a huge leak and after talking to my brother he said when he had the car running, she used 1Q of oil every 1K-1400 miles. But I don't think the car is burning it like he said. I think it's leaking it.
I was thinking I'd start at the valve covers and work my way down. The only thing that confuses me is that I DID the valve cover gaskets not too long before it was laid up. Could over TQing the cover bolts have caused a leak?
Anything else I should look at?
:woo-hoo:
