Took a look at these today and I'm thinking, bolt, new crush washer, hose, caliper. Have I got that right?

IIRC there are supposed to be new crush washers on both sides of the brake line.

Appreciate the info. I wondered what stopped leaking between the hose and caliper - now I know.

Look, stop beating around the bush - do I need a crush washer on both sides or not? :)

100% without a doubt you do

and since on mustang applications the caliper is mounted on the rear of the axle, you have to put the LEFT caliper from the cobra on the RIGHT side of the SHO..... the brackets are the same and don't matter.... but when u have it done right, the bleeder will be towards the top of the caliper......

No, you have to swap the calipers on the brackets, so that the retaining pins and the bleeders are all on top.

And its banjo bolt, crush washer, hose, crush washer, caliper. :p

Say what? Will the stock hoses reach the caliper holes?

Yes, but its a tight fit. That's not what I was talking about, though.

In some of the pictures in the above thread, you can see the head of a silver pin on the top side of the calipers. (Some of the pictured brackets are installed on the wrong side, so not all of the pictures are correct.) That pin needs to be located on the "back" of the caliper so that it is not feeling the full braking force.

Oh I see what youre talking about, so the pin needs to be on the bottom, or the top (bleeder screw side) of the caliper?

Holy crap! I never noticed how many people in that thread have their brakes on backwards before!

Posts 16, 31, 45, and 47 clearly show the pin on top as it should be.

Another useful trick is to put the pin in from the outside so that the e-clip is on the inside. This way if the clip comes off and the pin starts backing out it'll hit the wheel and you'll hear it before things get too bad. That saved my bacon once a few years ago when I heard it go "thunk" as I was backing the car off the trailer.

Pin on top, bleeder screw on top.
