no way to stop that in that area but to cut it out & weld in new. you could slow it down but thats internal, so a lot of rust killer & undercoat but from the inside, may slow it down if you can comp seal it off from weather. outside just remove all loose rust, rust **** & paint.

I like Rust-Oleum rust converter or the Dupli-Color rust converter. Any rust converter spray or brush on turns surface rust into a primer but must be painted over to seal out moisture. Its even more important in any rust condition to seal off the back side or your wasting your time!

Ive never had any experience with the rust converter sprays, but by all means go for it! anything is worth a try.

But in my experience there just isnt a miracle in a can when it comes to anything, engines, body etc.

to actually stop it and not delay it, it will have to be cut out, sorry bro.

Atleast its on the inside! have someone weld in a peace and spray paint it the closest green you can find.

harbor freight has a 120v welder for around $100.00
might be just the ticket for welding in a new panel.

I am sorry, I can't stomach their piece of junk welder...Those that comes with flux core wire was horrid, it make lots of splatter makes shoddy job!

Best advice I can give would be try to save up some money to buy better quality such as Lincoln weld pak 100 for around $250 to $300. It comes flux cored and superior welding bead, way less splatter compared to Harbor's! In later time when you want go co2 welding, there is conversion kit.

If money isn't the issue then go all out, get either 140plus or 180plus. You could get other brand equal to lincoln quality. Stay away from Harbor brand welder! Junk!
