I know this topic has been gone over many times, but I'm not positive I understand what "rubber grommet" you guys are talking about. I'm trying to run a wire through the firewall, probably 10awg. I think I see where the grommet is, but I don't want to jump into something if I'm completely wrong. I included a picture, it's dark... but hopefully you'll be able to tell me what I'm looking at. It's to the right and up from where the deadpedal would be. I drive a '95 ATX.

Thanks for the reply; can you tell me how exactly I would go about doing this? I'm just not seeing how I would be able to fit another wire in there. Thanks.

Since nobody else wants to aswer I guess I'll jump in.

I suggest that you use an awl and poke a small hole in it off the to side of the speedo cable. Don't make a large hole or it will leak. THen, simply push the wire through the hole.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the reply. I'm assuming the speedo cable you refer to is the cable I'm seeing in the picture above? Thanks.

Hard to tell from the picture..it is either the throttle or speedo cable... the plug you want is soft rubber not hard plastic.

Have fun!
