Where do you guys get em? I want anything that says Ford GONE. I want nothing but Yamaha and SHO displayed. I'm thinking of going to a boneyard and pulling every grill logo I can get my hands on, and try seperating and cleaning the backing from the front piece, and making a nice Yamaha logo. If I get it right I make em and sell em, or just post a tutorial. But for now, would someone please tell me where the **** I can buy some?

I second that!

I installed the silver/black one in the grille on my black '89 SHO. Looks great, fit perfect.

I also ditched everything on the car that said Ford or Taurus...including the front door lettering and trunk :)

How did you get rid of the door badging??? Did you just take off the trim panels or fill them in? If you filled them, what did you do it with and how did you make the SHO look even?

My guess is bondo or some body filler, then sand...

Yup. I had removed the panels from the car, took a grinder to the plastic, and levelled out the lettering(countersunk it all). Then, lots of bodywork and filler to smooth it over.
Been done for almost a year and no cracks yet.

I put a base filler of fiberglass first, as it is stronger than Bondo.

In hindsight, it would have been easier to do this body mod when the panels are still secured to the car. When I was reinstalling them, I was praying that the filler wouldn't crack rofl

If you look real carefully, you will notice the door panel is completely smooth. The "SHO" part is also gone, as it would have been too hard to keep it and try to make it even on both sides.
