My stock Y-pipe is worn out. I am replacing it with the Magnaflow high-flow pipe (if I can ever get it shipped to me).
I haven't done much exhaust work, so I need a little help.
My questions are:
1. Should I put in new O2 sensors as well, even though the ones I have now seem to have no problems? I assume that they are located somwhere in the pipe assembly.
2. If new ones are a good idea, should I get OEM parts from Ford, or use the Bosh ones that Autozone sells, or does it matter?
3. Will this new pipe cause any problems with the sensors and the information sent to the computer, or will it automatically adjust for the slight increase in air flow?
Car is 1990, Just turned over 115,000 miles this morning. Obviously 3.0 MTX, Everything is original except for a K&N filter, and Summit turbo mufflers. No other modifications.
