Does anyone have an extra X Plan they can pass on to a Ford guy? I am looking to purchase an Edge Sport for my wife and child and need to find the best deal I can. Thank you!

That's correct. It can be used by friends. Both my son-in-law and I have used Ford's X-Plan from a Ford retiree friend. Price is basically $100. above invoice. Dealers do not have to accept X-Plan, but most do.

If you go on the x plan website it tells you active employees and retirees and their spouses.

I have used them in the past too.

So, does anyone have one left before the end of the year? I'd really like to buy this for my wife. Thanks!

Jim

FYI:
Ford Xplan PIN:
Extends discount pricing to friends and neighbors of employees as well as Ford supplies and other business partners (through the Partnership Recognition Program). Businesses are eligible for the X-Plan by contacting AZX Plan Program Headquarters and providing an X-Plan PIN for a vehicle titled in the company's name.

Look up Taurus Builder on the list of posters. He was offering them earlier in the year... Hasn't posted here lately. He was and may still be working at the Chicago plant, though I think he mentioned he might be moving to another Ford plant.

Just contact a bunch of dealers, tell them what you want. Look up the invoice price on Edmunds and offer to pay that and no more. Have them show you the invoice. Someone out there will sell it for that, especially if it's a 2011 unit they're trying to get rid of. They have holdbacks on all models and some have dealer cash incentives. Not sure if you're wanting to buy a warranty or finance it through the dealer, etc., but things like that make the dealer more willing to sell you the car at invoice if they can make $ on the back end of the deal. We bought my wife's 08 Milan for invoice, took the rebate, and got a low APR from the bank, so it was a win-win all the way around.

It's not difficult to buy new cars at invoice these days. People are smart, the internet is out there, and dealers know this. They make $ on the back-end of new deals, and used , ahem, certified pre-owned, is their bread and butter.

I just looked up the 11 and 12 Edge on Edmunds and it looks like there is no dealer cash on them currently. They are offering special financing or a puny rebate.
