X Pipe

Anyone know if having an x-pipe sideways affects the exhaust note that comes out? I'm looking to get one and all the ones I've seen have the rear sideways. Is that for space saving reasons or note? After I do that I will have a full straight pipe into two x pipes. I already have Catless downpipes

Ahhhh I see now.....

I did an X pipe myself, but positioned it NOT "sideways" as you've displayed in the video you linked.

Mine replaced the 3rd suitcase styled cat, and I enjoyed the tone/note it provided.
