Providing model year and mileage alone, without any other details (i.e. history of the car, its' maintenance, recalls performed, or not etc.) isn't enough info for anyone to provide you with a proper opinion/answer.

Heck, you didn't even specify what quantifies a "nice price".

More info for the masses to divulge, and then be able to reply accordingly.

13,000. It has a decent service history I don't know about recalls. It has a lot of options including rear heated seats and massage seats, parking assist etc. paint is nice and it was a one owner , never in an accident and all work has been preformed by local ford dealer.

I think you can still get a ford esp plan, though premiumcare probably not, for some peace of mind. Since work was done at a dealer, the inspection should be easy peasy. If you can get the OASIS report, that will help, as it may not show up on Carfax, esp if warranty work. Seems like highway miles, so that is good also.

Is the massage option any good, or is it a novelty? I am in the car for long periods at a time.

For long periods of sitting I love it. The butt massage is OK, but the back massage is worth it. Completely a luxury though lol. It would not be a make or break option for me.

Seems like a great purchase given what you've posted, price point included.

The massaging seats are a novelty. They're nice for sure, but not necessary.

What color btw?

100k is typically when I look at getting rid of a vehicle. But that's just me.

A one owner car that has been well maintained with 100k highway miles wouldn't concern me much at that price. I would want to get it on a hoist and visually inspect the turbos and ptu for any leaks. A thorough test drive would also be needed.

I thought the massaging seats would be a novelty. Then I used them in long trips and changed my mind. If I was buying a SHO for long trips (like I use mine for now) it would have the massaging seats. After 2 to 3 hours in the car the seats start to hurt my back. Turn in the seats for 30 minutes and I'm good for another few hours.

yeah, it depends on how you use the vehicle - if you take long trips (multi-hours at a time) then the massaging seats are killer.

13k sounds about right for a nice car with those miles.

I would buy it. I bought my 2011 two years ago with 102K miles for $15,500. Haven't put a dime into other than plugs and regular maintenance, just under 145,000 now.

If you don't buy the car, let me know where it is. I'm ready for a newer model. I'd rather buy a car that was driven 50 miles every startup than one that goes 3 or 4 miles each time.

As long as you have the maintenance records, and they look clean then it sounds like a good buy. Daily driver or were you looking to give it some pep in its step?
Just verify the usual TSB/Recall stuff has been taken care of and I see no reason this wouldn't be a good purchase. As always, best of luck with the purchase and let us know when you are ready to get some more out of it!

thanks for the tips. It's blue and I am going to see it WED. It's in Ohio.
I am a salesman that drives a lot , currently am in a Buick LaCrosse , would like another , but this deal was brought to my attention from a friend that is a ford fan. Everyone tells me i am crazy and that the Taurus seems cramped because of the center console and the high doors, but my Buick has been know. To have an A pillar the size of a telephone pole, so I'm guessing I won't feel that way. I will let you guys know how it goes.

That sounds like a lot like my SHO. I bought it with 85K for 18,500. The fuel pump went out after a week(there is a recall out now for that issue), and one of the turbo's was found to be leaking and needed replaced not long after. Without the warranty all that would have been at least another $2500. Other than that it's been a lot of fun to drive and seems solid now.

As for size concerns, that's one of the reasons I got it. I'm a big guy and need my space. I also considered a LaCrosse but never made it to the test drive. The SHO was too good to pass up.

How about that, I'm in Ohio too. Let me know where exactly it is if you don't buy it, I'll snatch that sucker up in a second. You're lucky it doesn't show up on cargurus or I would have bought it already.

Now that I think more about it, you are right. The driver seat is super cramped, you can't rest your arm on the door while driving because it is up so high, they're really horrible cars. I think you'd hate it....probably not even worth test driving.

Lol. Wow carefull with cargurus. Lots of junk on there. More than any other site. Every time I find something good , the reports are "suspicious" to say the least.
