On my way to take in the recycling today I noticed a spiffy 1992 SHO parked beside a service station. The body of the car was in exceptional shape- bumper chips and the beginnings of rear quarter rust- as is the interior. The clock shows 193 KM, while the gray leather barely shows 20KM.
I called the number off a work order that I saw in the back seat and learned that the car was in fact a '92, that the owner purchased it new, it hadn't been winter driven in 10 years, and the car was at the shop because of an intermittent stall during the previous summer. The owner seemed to have his head on straight, and he knew what he was talking about- he figured the stall to be fuel related as it began shortly after the fuel pump was replaced- I forgot to ask why he had it replaced...
As for price he figured his was in the middle of the price spectrum, which is $3000-$6000, and I agree based on the condition of the car. Granted everything checks out I will offer $3500 in its current condition or $3800 fixed.
Seeing as I bought my first SHO from a friend I am not too sure of what I should have inspected on this one- more specifically what should I look into as a cause of the stalling?
What else do you guys think?
Cheers,
carter

His name is Todd, lives in Saskatoon Sask., and his car is a silver frost '92 with a gray interior- know of him?
