Now what do I do with the donor car? I hate to send it to the crusher? It has the the old engine it, good tranny, nice cloth interior, everything works (windows, locks, hvac, stereo), chrome wheels, decent tires.

Here's the donor:

I would keep it out back somewhere for other spare parts. I have often considered getting a parts car. They are handy, but the one local that I know of has not been willing to sell. Instead it just sits in his back yard. Blown engine.

Nice wheels on that one, by the way. and congrats on getting yours back up and running. :)

Man that is a nice looking donor car. Looks in great shape. BTW how many miles on this car before the engine failed? But if it has to go....

129K. Intake cam that drives water pump spun. Donor car had low-mile (78K) welded cam engine.

Swap was a success! Everything works...except none of the windows go down. Also - because I used a 97' engine and harness I need to do #5 / #10 pin swap.

Looks like you decided to keep the wheels off the donor car. Can you post a new updated picture of your car with the new wheels?

EFF EFF EFF!

I cannot get rid of this P0402 code. When this engine was in the 97' donor car. The only part that did not get swapped was the ECU.

I bought an SCT X3 hoping to tune-off the SAI...but NO the custom tune will not do it. EFF!

I bought another JJK2, but this did not help.

Are the pins for the SAI different between 96-97 SHO?

Someone please help me before I burn this phucking car.
