I like my truck but I feel like I'm kind of maxed out without risking warranty. Admittedly it would be enough for most people. I'm at 40k miles now with zero issues 25k miles on e85.

Roush is the cheaper route but Shelby is a legend. They sell the 750hp f150 xlt plain Jane in Ohio for 45k out the door.

I'm liking the numbers on the F250 Tremor. Over 1000 pound feet of torque at under 2K RPM? Get the **** outta here! LOL.

I'm looking at either Ford F250 or Dodge 2500, decisions... decisions. Unlike some people, I don't pledge my allegiance to Ford, I have one of each... Mopar, GM and Ford. Looking to step into a diesel next year.
Chevy is out because they put the DEF fill under the hood and don't have adaptive cruise on the HD's, which I have become accustom to with the Taurus, and feel like it would be a nice option when I'm not towing anything.
I think it's going to boil down to which the wife likes better, and which creature comforts we like better, because they both seem like pretty solid choices. I'm willing to listen to anyone that has empirical evidence to one being a much better choice, without being biased, or a matter of opinion.

Hmmm a fleet of trucks approximately 50. The 3 years we had dodges(gas and diesel) only 2 made it past 60k miles. The Chevy years had tons of electric gremlins and fuel issues. The Ford years have seen most trucks exceed 150k while waiting for backorder replacement trucks due to the entire industry using them. So idk.... Maybe I am biased.
A lot of the "hot shot" guys running OTR use Dodge because they get better mileage and they never complained of the cummins, but I did hear that the transmissions weren't so great, I was hoping over the years maybe Dodge figured that one out. The interior is much nicer now too, that's why I figured it would come down to creature comfort.
What were the issues specifically with the Dodge diesels?

Broken transmissions and transfer cases. Frequently electrical issues in dashboards
This is exactly why whatever it is, at the very least it will come with a high mileage drivetrain warranty on it, although... I hate electrical gremlins too. Seems like they are hitting everything nowadays thanks to all of the fancy stuff being put into vehicles, but I'm not going to crank my windows or have a cold butt in the winter anymore, I'm getting too old for that crap.

Wanted to add more biased clarification to why I bash dodge so much. All but 2 of the gas rams had major engine issues from broken cams, oil pumps, blown engines, fueling issues, cracked blocks, cracked heads, to bent rods. Also suffered transmission issues, 4wd issues, electrical issues, and steering issues.
6 guys I work with also have challengers or chargers and frequent the dealership for repairs. They also are slower than my truck even though they are modded as well. If that's biased then I admit I am.

Yeah, right. Had a buddy with a leased challenger r/t and about 6 months in he was getting his engine serviced, light came on and was having throttle issues. Knew a mother with a lease, had to take it to dealership for check engine, tire pressure and one of the seatbelts stopped locking in. To be fair, Dodge isn't the only one with issues. But the amount of times I've heard from others about their problems from dodge it seems like a matter of when, not if. I'm torn about Dodge as a whole. They make good looking trucks and cars, especially the new 2019+ ram. The interior is great. Hellcat is a badass car. But once you get past the "Oooo" factor everything seems to fall apart. It's like biting into a chocolate chip cookie only to find out it's oatmeal raisin. Bleh
