What types of wheels will fit on the SHO? I'm assuming pretty much any 16" Taurus or Sable wheel will work. I've also heard that T-bird wheels will fit. Is this true? Any wheels from other models that will work? I'm either looking for the cheapest wheel possible for winter duty, or a nice set of factory type wheels and I'll use my current wheels for winter duty. I'm going to start hitting the junk yards this week. Thanks

Scott

I saw some "Sacchi 12" 16x7's for $71 at Lakeview Tire & Wheel (search for "aaa wheels") but when I looked last night they had raised the price to $86.

All the Tauri wheels fit but most are 16x6.

heres what i've done for yrs I have my stock 16" wheels with dunlop winter sport on then for the winter. Can I tell you it drives like a tank through the snow. For summer I had some 17x7.5's with avon tech m550's 235/45/wr17's and there nice and sticky on the track. When my car got stolen the kid ruined two of the wheels so Migilia's is what I had. I went on tire rack and got some spoke rims dirt cheap and thats what I use for the summer. The winter ones I went a little bigger than stock size on the stock rim 225/55/r16's. Hope this helps.

I Got Steel Rims from Tire Rack

It was a few years ago, but when I purchased my Blizzaks from the Tire Rack, they supplied steel rims with wheel covers. Not sure if they're still available, but worth a try. Last year, when I had my local mechanic try to find a steel 16" wheel for my full size spare tire, he couldn't do it, and I had to get a painted alloy wheel.

I just bought Graspic tires from Tire Rack and they didn't have steel rims available. I decided that I don't want to spend a lot on wheels for the SHO right now. Some day I need to get some nice 17" wheels, but not yet. I'm keeping it mostly stock appearing at this time and I spend a lot of money on it with the valve problem I had earlier this year. Besides, I have a Super Coupe that needs some money thrown it's way sometime too. It's the spoiled one right now..
