windshield washer pump

i got a 97 and the speeds on the wiper control are out of order and my washer pump doesnt work... damn salt

probly your mfs(multi function switch needs to be cleaned or replaced mine does it but it causes the wipers not to park and turn off....suck hear whack whack whack all the time wait this was moved i dont no if gen 3s are the same on the multi function switch...cleaning anybody else have thoughts?

Yes probably a bad MFS. They are cleanable, usually.

Take it out of the car, spray if down with a lot of WD 40 and work all the functions. The blow it out with compressed air.

On the wiper end pry off the cap being careful to not lose the contacts and spring. Then uses some sort of solvent to remove the old grease. Reagrease with some petroleum jelly and reassemble.

Go here for the ohm meter testing values of the MFS.
