Does the pump actually run?

It might be the switch or something else besides the pump.

The windshield wiper switch is a very weak point in this car. The part that turns on the wiper pumps is the weakest part of a very weak part. I've been thinking about replacing it with toggle switches. Anyone have any luck with an aftermarket replacement?

yes
you just pull the wheelwell liner out (passenger side) and un-screw it. i think there are 3 screws that attach it all, plus the feed line and power cable.
just replace the whole washer bottle...i got one off ebay for 10 dollars and free shipping.

I just drive the FR tire up onto a curb or something similar and it's a 5 min job from there. You don't have to touch anything else besides the pump. thumbs_u
