Is the actual wiring harness (plastic connector) easy to get to for the driver's side window-control switch? I just put in a switch from the junk yard because mine doesn't work at all and all windows but the rear passenger window work fine! I really don't feel like splicing all of those wires together again so I'm hoping to get another switch panel (test it first this time). Is there an easier way to remove the wiring harness (It looks like I have to remove the door panel to get to it). I'm sure that it's the switch b/c all windows work fine from their own switches. Thanks

The drivers side master switch just plugs into the harness connector. There should be enough wire to remove the switch and replace it without removing the door panel. The connector should be easy enough to pry away from the switch and a new switch is pushed into the connector. There should not be any reason to rewire anything.

Ok, thanks. Have you actually removed one before or are you just assuming? I see that the wires all go toward the back of the door but I don't know how far back the connector itself is.

yup,
you were right. I'm so glad I wasted my time cutting and splicing, but at least it works (3/4 windows). I hate when I make simple things really hard and tedious! Oh well. Thanks for the input everyone.

Ha,
Yes it would suck, and knowing my luck, they will. After thinking about it a little more and kicking myself in the *** some more, I realized that I might have had to splice some of the wires because the switch I replaced the stock one with has 2 extra ground wires (I think they go to the door lock switch). Also, I remember some of the wires not lining up like they should have, so maybe it wasn't a COMPLETE waste of time.
