Will these upgrades work with an LMS tune?

So currently I'm running the stage 4 plus tune in my 10' SHO. I'm looking to get a little more out of it, and people are saying that the 4+x is noticeably faster. I want some more turbo sound, and I head the K&N is the way to go for that. This is my shopping list for now, are all these items compatible with an updated tune from LMS?

I would only get the K&N if you want the sound... otherwise from what I have read it heat soaks something awful... a drop in K&N filter has proven to be almost as effective as a CAI...

The 3BAR is cheaper on rock auto USUALLY by about half...

Yes, 3 bar from rock auto. I'm using the K&N, but the pipe is wrapped in DEI titanium exhaust wrap. AIT's are only 5 Deg higher than ambient using the torque app.

To answer your question, all of this items will work great with the 4+x lms tune. Nothing keeps the Iat down like the stock intake tho. But that k&n gets the top spot for intake/turbo roar. A set of catless downpipes (if your state allows) helps with turbo sounds as well.

It would probably be worth checking with LMS to see if they support a CAI that's not from them.

The 3 bar map should be the only thing that makes a difference for the tune. I've swapped my CAI back and forth a few times with the stock airbox and never switched my tune. I didn't notice any major difference between 4+ and 4x+, but I did notice a difference between 2 bar and 3 bar.

So when you guys say heat soak, does that mean my car will overheat? Sorry, I don't know that much
Also, is the colder thermostat necessary in order to change to a 3 bar sensor?

Nope, just means that the intake tube itself will warm up from the heat under hood. That will just cause your intake temps to be a bit higher while your vehicle isnt moving. Once u start moving your underhood temps will drop and your engine will pull air thru the intake, cooling the intake pipes.

We will tune for it, If you like the noise the K&N is a good way to go, but we've seen the same if not better results by just utilizing the factory airbox.

Perfect! Is the colder thermostat required in order to run the 3bar tune? I live in FL, so will I benefit from the 170 thermostat?

TStat and tune will definitely help in FL. Coolant starts getting cooled earlier and the tune runs the fans longer to make sure. TStat is not required i think unless you go for the X or race tunes.
