Hey Guy's,
First off I would just like to say hi, I'm new here.

I just picked up a 1990 SHO with 3.2 Ltr engine for my winter car. I'm excited it should be a fun car. Anywho the real question I'm wanting to know is the car needs new tires, I'm able to get my hands on some cheap 15" winter tires but I don't know if they will fit my stock rims. They are 195/65/15. I know they are small but $100 for a set of 4 new winter tires is almost too good to pass up. I tried to search for it but most guys want fatter not skinner tires. Any info would be helpful.

They will fit.

Living in FL I don't know much about winter tires, but aren't narrower tires beneficial in the snow?

OH you didn't know
Wider is not better for snow traction as you would get a "ski" effect. The narrow tires help dig into the snow and the vehicle would not pull in slush. The tires are a bit small but will work on those wheels.

Winter driving in a modded SHO was interesting to say the least. 225/55 tires weren't terribly bad. But too much gas around a turn, and the quaife would make both wheels spin and to the curb I would go. However, the night we got so much snow that my door moved some when I opened it. I dont htink I would have made it home if I didn't have the quaife.
