These are the specs:

Size: 17"x 7"

Bolt Pattern: 5x108

Off Set: +40mm

Will there be any problems fitting these to the SHO?

Shouldn't be a problem - just be careful of the tire size to avoid rubbing issues. :thumb:

They're brand new out of the boxes...

I do have the list of cars it will supposedly fit:

I don't want to take any chances though...

And here's a pic:

And since I've posted the pic I might as well ask, what's everyone's opinion on these rims? Should I give 'em a shot?

those are supposed to be pretty light too, I think those are the RS Limited Mase wheels and IIRC they come in at 17lbs each, meaning about a 2lb per wheel reduction in weight. Course you should get a 96+ upgrade to go behind them to look right :)

They will fit fine. I think I know someone selling a 96 upgrade soon. He's pulling his 96+ off in favor of a wilwood package.

Sweet, thanks for the replies guys.

howell: Yes these are the RS Limited Mase wheels you speak of. I think the white/white combination would look superb on the SHO!

So, I checked out the other thread Enthropy. It gives several variations of tire sizes that can go along with the 17" rim:

225/50/17
235/45/17 (about 3mph off at 75)
245/45/17

Just so I can better understand what these values mean I will use the notation: X/Y/Z Please correct me if I am wrong...

X is the tire width
Y is the height from the rim to the top of the tire?
Z is the Rim Height

Y is what I am questioning. I think I would like the low profile look, but not extremely low profile if you know what I mean? I've seen some SHO's with really low pro's and I think it looks ridiculous. Is 50 my best bet?

Entropy, you have any pics of your wheels? Oh, and I have to throw it in here that July 28th is a great day for us both LEO PRIDE! Haha :thumb:

MySHO1, I have to give you a LOT of credit in restoring your SHO. It definitely looks NICE! :thumb:

guitar333, these rims happen to be the ones from eBay. Sorry man, I just won them. Maybe they will have some more up soon?

IMO, the 235 and 245 are too wide for a 7" wheel. Yes you are correct with X/Y/Z except that the Y is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the tread width X. I have 215/50/17s on my car in the signature.

First off, I think you mixed me up with someone else because I didn't pop out for another 6 days.

I will try and make this short. Using your notation and my tire (235 45 17):

X=the tire section width in mm (divide by 25.4 to get inches)
Y=Aspect ratio of the sidewall to the section width. IE, for X=235 mm (~9.25 in) and Y=45, your sidewall height is 45% of 235 mm, or, 105.75 mm (~4.163 in).
Z=Rim Height, like you said, in inches - Z=17 in your case.

Now, for the total tire geometry, knowing from X that it is 9.25 inches wide, the overall height is the rim + two sidewalls: Height=Z+2Y . For the tire in question, 17+2(4.163)=25.327 inches.

As a Side Note, the stock tire is a 215 60 16, so it is 8.464 inches wide and 26.157 inches tall. So yes, my speedo is off a bit (reads fast) since my tire is a little over 3/4 inch shorter.

I forgot that you wanted to see a picture of them - no problem. I'm headed out of town this weekend (ie: right now...the boss is yelling at me), but I'll throw a pic or two up on photobucket when I get back. Gotta go before she kills me.

I bet you thought I forgot about you. I can't find any pics of them, so I ran out and snapped a couple for you. They are off the car waiting for brakes (hkmmmMIKEhkmm) so if you want pics on the car, you will have to wait until then.... :thumb:
