well i have been having problems with my idle. it will fall to under 500rpms and stall on me if i let off the gas. i notice that when i turn the car on it automatically jumps to about 3500rpms will stick there for a second and then drop and will stall if i let it. also, when sitting there with my foot on the pedal a little bit to keep it from stalling at a light or something, even with constant pressure on the pedal staying at one level of rpm usually around 1200rpms, it will lose it and fall a lil bit. almost like i loss of pressure or something. thinking it could be a fuel pump but dont want to change it if i dont have to. i pulled these codes and i know what they mean but dont know how to fix any of these problems.
111 system check ok then i got 157 maf signal low or grounded, 172 O2 sensor not switching, system is or was lean Right O2 , 176 same as the last but left O2, 181 fuel system lean at part throttle right , 189 same as last but left, 528 sys shows voltage at pin 10 and 542 fuel pump open bad ground or always on
what are the reasons im runnin lean, i do need to change my O2s...and are my problems related to my codes

i have the same problem when my car is warmed up, upon restart. the idle will be fighting near 500. i believe that the coil pack is to blame. as i have already got a new fuel pump in, and a full front and top 60 k there isnt much left to cause it besides the DIS.

yea i read somewhere on the forum of a similar problem and it being the IAC, which i replaced and somewhere else on here about someone changing the coil pack and that fixing their problem. i guess it is really hard to diagnose without really knowing what the problem is. i was just hopin the codes would point me in the direction of what might be causing it. but i guess it is better to have all fresh new parts and eventually finding the problem than fixing the problem only to have another 14 year old part go out on u. can anyone else elaborate on the problem, maybe even what i need to do to fix the codes i pulled....i did forget to mention i recently got a check engine light that came on. my car hasnt seen over half a tank in a long while and before gas prices went boom, i filled it up and only then did i get the CEL which caused me to check the codes in the first place. ive been running with a rough idle for at least a month now. CEL light stopped after it dropped back to lower than half a tank. my car gets really horrible gas mileage too...im hoping get a lot taken care of on this car in the summer i just need ot figure out what i need to take care of

i would concentrate on the maf code first. simply unplug it and see if your problems go away. it will definately cause your two lean codes!!! if it doesn't i would suspect a sticky iab valve. take it off and clean it.
