What's the offset? You will need to really work the fenders to get it to fit. I would suggest trying to cut and graft a set of flares in the rear. It's really tight for my 17x7.5's and that is after trimming and then rolling the fenders. Next step is trying a flare graft myself.

Couldn't you just outright roll the fenders themselves out a little bit? Its tedious work, but it might look a little better .. no?

My '89 SHO has 18x8" wheels on it. You really need to watch the offset, though.

My wheels JUST barely fit. They clear the rear strut tubes by maybe 1/8th(or a little more) of an inch and the outer lip just clears the wheel well lip. I did have to roll the Left rear quarter lip a little to make it fit.
BTW, I am also running 235/40/18's.

Also, if you have sagging rear suspension, you will have problems.

*edit* Here is a picture. Sorry that you can't really see that much, but it gives you an idea.

IMHO, 18's are too big, 17s are just right. There is so little clearence with stock size, I wouldn't go wider than 7 inches or a 235.
