Ok, I just put my guages on today and I have a few problems. First of all my auto lamp isn't working at all, and neither are the lights that light it up or the lights for the manual headlight/parking light switch. Also, my whole cluster is screwed up. The speedometer doesn't work right, it kinda shakes as it goes up and doesnt go up very fast and it makes a little bit of a noise. Also my tach doesn't work at all, and my temp guage didn't move at all. It was a pain to do all of it, almost more trouble than it's worth. Any help would be great.

How/where did you wire the guages in?
As far as the needles go.
They may be rubbing the guages. That seems to be a problem with these guages.
Just pull out on the needles a little,it won't take much.
Hope this helps :thumb:

man sorry to hear bout that, uh....I would say fuse on the lights, BUT the little bulbs in the back that all come on... some are in series, if one is loosened, those will cause the circuit to not work, maybe the connector is loose/not fully attached. What is the noise? is it snagged on the gauges?

How did you install them and what guages did you use? Also what did you use for your power source?

I just bought the cheap ones that are always on ebay. The guages are on there good with real thin double sided tape and are not rubbing at all, I could move the needles freely. At first I couldn't figure out where to wire it into so I decided to wire it into the light bulb right behind the headlight/parking light switch, thinking that that light is only on when the headlights were on, but then the glow guages were always on. So then I figured out which one was the positive for the parking light switch and wired it into that one. So now the glow guages work right and come one with the parking lights, but now the other problems. The noise coming from the spedo is kinda like a quiet ticking noise. Could that nose be from the spedo cable being bent too much?

my stang used to do that, but I replaced it and it went away :bonk: yeah it was like a tink tink tink tink and it fluttered then halfassed went up and would fall back down, did you mess with anything behind the gauge cluster? It could possibly be, but I don't think so. No problems like this before? with the other stuff check fuse, it could be that you need not pull the accessory wire from the lights, use the wire from the switch, that is the best place, you won't have to worry bout using too much juice then, the circuits will only take so much. If your fuse is blown then that may be an indicator, or you accidently grounded out the circuit:shrug: but anyway find the wire that goes to the switch, then sauder the wire into the fuse box, no worries then, do you own a multi-meter? a cheap one will do wonders for troubleshooting the electrical stuff on our cars bro, just ask beth. good luck, let us know what you find :thumb:

Did you remove the needles?

Well your power souce doesnt seem like a good idea. I used the power for the remote radio controls since I do not use those anymore. It took some wire but I like it since I do not mess with anthing important. I have no idea why you would have used the parking break light because well it only comse on when you use the brake. You need a source that comes one when you turn on the dash.

I am guessing you took out out the cluster to install the guages. You didnt need to do that, infact you shouldnt do that. With you speedo, it might be bent, if so take care of it ASAP before it destroys itself. It might also be that it needs to be greased up.

Hope this helps.

I wired it into the headlight switch, so it turns on when I turn on the headlights. The Spedo still makes noise and kinda shakes a little - could it be that the speedo cable got bent as I took it out?

Could be or if you accidently hit the needle, it will shake a bit. I had that noise, took the speedo out and sprayed the mechanism. I also sprayed grease into the cable. The noise went away almost completely and the needle stopped jumping.
