Resurrecting an old thread... I'm having a similar issue in my 2013 SHO non PP 44k miles, I just got a new set of Continental DWS06 tires coming from some lower end Michelins, though it doesn't seem to be tire related as the whine changes pitch with the RPMs rather than the speed of the vehicle (but only when in gear) so I feel like it'd almost have to be transmission related. Fluid seems fine, not brand new by any means but still pink, a little burnt smelling but nothing crazy, I took it for a 10 min drive going through all gears (to unsettle any possible metal shavings) and rechecked the fluid, I found some very fine metallic dust in the fluid that had a gritty feel between my fingers not sure how much (if any) of this stuff is considered acceptable.
