I have my pillar pod in and the wires snaked into the dash, but haven't figured out which wire(s) to tap into for the lights on the gauges in the pod. I want them to dim with the dash lights, but I have as of yet figured which on I should use. Is there something on the headlight switch that I can tap into?

Part 2 of my question is realting to indiglo gauges, what wire can I tap into so that the gauges come on with the marker lights or headlights, but are not controlled by the factory dimmer? Right now I have them tied into a wire on my modified foglight harness (shotimes mod for fogs on w/marker lamps and lo/hi beams).

I figure since I have part of my dash apart from the gauges, I might as well fix my indiglo wiring problem. I'm reading all the back posts I can find right now, but this is usually faster, thanks.

A volt meter is quick and easy.

The headlamp switch will do nothing for you as there is no dimmer lead there. Id tap into the clock, or climate control wiring for dimmer use. But that would require removing the dash.

A wire thats associated with the dimmer will show a range of voltages when you rotate the dimmer dial.

Did I mention that you should use a meter? :p

BTW: unrelated... check your email! :D

gauges :) I did reverse glow gauges. take your gauge bezel off and take off the bolts holding your headlight switch on. Holding the switch like it would be bolted into the dash, the top wire(I think it's brown) is the parking light output. Tap this for power to your gauges and tap the black wire on the "hey your lights are on" light for the ground. That's how I've got mine and no problems :)
