I am doing a poll to get a better understanding of which CCRM modules were used in our SHOs. This is the black box that sits just above the radiator. It houses relays for the fuel pump, cooling fan(s) and AC clutch.

My 92 has an M box.
My wife's 95 mtx has a D.
PAracer's 93 atx has a J.

Please post which box you have, the year and transmission. Thanks :thumb:

89-93 MTX SHOs used M
93-95 ATX SHOs used J
94-95 MTX SHOs used D

Don't quote me here, but I think the SLOs used the J CCRM also

It is VERY important to use the correct CCRM, as some combinations will let the car start, but they will not turn on the cooling fan = overheating.

By the way, there were a number of different part numbers and build numbers Frod used over the years for those three CCRMs. The critical thing is the large identifying letter.

I just took one off of a base Taurus and put it on my '93 ATX SHO! No problems with starting since! Ford told me that this part is specific for a SHO, and said for my SHO a brand new one was going to cost me $250.00:snicker:

Um, off to the junkyard. Paid $25.00 for it; but, if you want you can buy it with a 5 finger discount if it's a pick n pull junkyard. ;)

i've been told a few things that were supposed to be SHO specific but were just everday parts shared with the slo.

I know for a FACT that the "D" code will work on the ATX's properly. I run with a brand new Ford one and sold a few of them to those who've used them as well.

I'm fairly certain that they are all interchangeable.

I'm pretty sure too, but the people on this forum seem to not believe anything they read on here unless it comes out the mouth of a vendor, moderator, or someone who makes a post identical to the level of a 7th grader.

For ***** and giggles, I'll throw on a brand new Mustang and old Taurus module to confirm if they work or not. I already know other modules work on the SHO's with different codes, and that's confirmed through one of the top, well knowledged SHO mechanics around.

I have heard lots of folks claim they aren't interchangable, while plenty of others say the boxes can be interchanged. This thread seems to indicate that they may be interchangable. The various combinations that folks have is interesting.

I suppose the easiest way to verify is to check the pin outs of each box. The Ford service manual has a diagram of the box. I'll check that out next.
