My SHO is now running:

SP-542 spark plugs
MSD coil packs
3-BAR MAP
170* thermostat
K&N panel filter
GearHead tune

Now I'm looking to change the down pipes and cat-back. I REALLY would like to use the same manufacturer for both, so my choices appear to be either Livernois Thunderstom or Stainless Works. The down pipes will be catted versions.

I'm looking for any/all opinions between these two.

I have the LMS catted downpipes and corsa catback. I agree tho, stock catback is the way to go. Sounds great when you start it up, but driving it does not sound good from any angle.

Yeah DPs and stock catback. PPE catted DPs are said to be the closest to stock but less restriction.

Unfortunately, the stock catback is not an option. I replaced it with the Borla/Ford Racing catback shortly after I got the car. I liked it at first, but now I wish I would have kept the stock system. It sounds alright, but it’s also only the same diameter (2 1/4”) as the factory system. So now that I’ve modified the power levels, I’m wanting to go 2 1/2” the whole way.

Appreciated, but at this point in time I'm not looking to do multiple exhaust system swaps. I only want to do DP's and catback one more time together.

Direct from the MSD (Holley) website.

Certainly someone out there has to have complete LMS or Stainless Works systems installed? Anyone?

I have lms dp's and corsa exhaust. I've heard people say lms exhaust is just a rebranded corsa.

JohnBlueGT's LMS Thunderstorm system arrived in boxes labelled Corsa (catback) and American Racing (DPs).

Here is his review:

IMHO PPE makes the best Down Pipes hands down, there hand built here in America and are truly a thing of beauty, and the Cat'ed version will work with a stock tune no codes to deal with. Your going to get most of your performance upgrade from the DP's the rest of the exhaust is not going to make that much of a difference. I get you want what you want, and its your money BUT my advice order a set of PPE down pipes and call it a day.

I've looked at so many catbacks and can't find anything off the shelf that I truly love. I'm currently running SW offroad downpipes and a stock catback and like the sound a lot with the EPP dual intake and hot pipes.

If/when I do upgrade the exhaust, I plan to go 2.5" back with a magnaflow x-pipe, vibrant resonators and magnaflow straight through mufflers. It's been the best sound I've heard so far and you can get it all in for under $700.

Im running Stainless Works catted downpipes, test pipes, and muffler delete with the stock resonator and it sounds good at idle and low rpms but rasp for days at higher RPMS

Inputs have been much appreciated, all.

I've placed my order for the Stainless Works complete exhaust. CANNOT WAIT!

So how much are you wanting for that FRPP exhaust?

I just bought a Corsa xpipe/midpipe to use as my 3rd cat & resonator delete but depending on the cost you’re looking for....lol

I too am trying to pick exhaust. Between Corsa and SW at the moment. I don't really care about price, and sound is very much secondary. I'm most concerned about flow. I was gonna go the SW route as well. But now I'm looking hard at the PPE test pipes with ceramic coating, and Corsa the rest of the way. I'm open to hearing reasons to avoid either component though.
