I ordered a rebuilt compressor for 7/91 SHO. They sent the FS10 which doesn't bolt up to the
a/c lines the same way the one in my car does. Is the one they sent me usable in my car? If not, then which one should I have the parts co send me??? Thanks,
Chris

The correct compressor for the SHO is the Nippondenso 10P15F. Be *extremely* wary of the brand of the compressor that you buy. Remanufactured ones come in many different levels of quality. When I fixed my A/C on my Sable, I spoke with a number of good A/C mechanics, and they told me to stay away from ANY of the Four Seasons brand names, which a lot of chain stores carry. They repaint the thing, replace only failed parts, and button them back up. That leaves you with an expensive repair bill later, when you have to flush and refill the system due to another failed compressor!

puckpimp71,

Make sure you read the conditions of the warranty for a new or rebuilt compressor.

For everyone that I know of YOU MUST replace the accumulator dryer, AND completely flush out the rest of the system with chemicals made for that purpose.

Many also require that the expansion valve, or in Ford's case the orifice line, be replaced.

If you do not follow the conditions set in the warrenty you will have no warranty! rangerj
