So im probably going to go the kyb gr-2 and moog cargo coil route, as its the cheapest and will perform a bit better then stock (alot better then my struts). Where can i find them? For a decent price? couldnt find any on ebay or after i googled it :shrug: did a little searching here but to no avail, as to where i can find them anyway?

MY questions:

Where to get decent priced moog cargos?
Will the gr2/moog cargos stiffen my ride at all?
How much higher will the car sit with cargos?
How far can i cut the moogs (to lower it)
before they're putting too much stress on
the Gr2s?

Thanks guys!

I recommend that you put on your flame shield before anyone else replies telling you to search for your answer.

But when you get/find the answer, make sure you cut the correct end of the spring. There is a whole dead coil / live coil discussion about that somewhere here. I remember reading about it many times, but I eventually went with a monroe quickstrut to avoid the hassle of buying everything seperately and then putting it back together.

i searched and did find some on the performance etc. But not where to find them, i read somewhere that you cant just ask for them, you have to get the right parts number as they arent for the SHO? im assuming youd have to direct order from them?

Sorry for a repost, i didnt have too much time to do a thorough search :doh:

I think i'll go the SHObros route, as theyre pretty cheap and dont have to deal with any bs! Now just **** this thread if its already being discussed but, id like a lower stance then .5 inches, how much can i cut before they're putting a strain on gr2s?

When Shawn (93superSHO) was doing my motor and tranny swap/refresh. He found i had a broken axle, no problem, order from napa, i knew a guy who worked in the warhouse and got it for like 35 bucks! Only problem was that he gave shawn 17 WRONG axles. Thats right, 17, no exageration. They also messed up my clutch order. I'll never go through napa again. :madflame:

This is just from personal experience but i put that same setup on my 93 ATX and my god did i hate it. To me it seemed just as bouncey as my stock shot setup was. Since then we got stock OEM springs off one of our other cars. Bought a set of used tokico's put them on there and its been 100% since then. If your willing to spend that much money, you wont be happy with the end result. Id say get some Tokico's if possible and set them up in your stock springs. Also with the Tokico stock setup you will get a little drop in ride height. around .75".
Hope i could help.

Want to explain how you get a drop on ride height by different struts? The only reason the height dropped is because the springs are sagging.

Yes

Failed :

Struts = bouncy ride
Coils = Unwanted lowered.
